  • Scanner does not work. 2 years now!!!

    Pathetic. Every single review states how the scammer does not work and for 2 years, they have done nothing. Have no problem taking everyone’s money and paying out garbage in comparison, but can’t spend a few peanuts to fix something EVERYONE wants and the sole purpose for the download.

    Don’t waste your time. I am not sure I EVER saw an app with such a low rating. Truly pathetic.

    You know if they were making even just a penny per scan, that would have been fixed same day someone complained.

  • Whoever develops NY’s gov websites and apps should be embarassed

    I downloaded this app specifically for the scanner and the scanner only, which I assume is the case for 99% of people. I come to find out that it’s never worked properly, and has not for 2+ years. Well over 1000 people have left a review reporting the issue in hopes that the developer would maybe fix the bug that completely breaks the app, making it completely useless for the majority of users.

    The camera is not focused for the distance required to accurately scan. They present a white outline and instruct users to place the barcode inside, yet it’s so blurry you have to hold the ticket about a foot away for anything to be in focus. This is the only issue that makes the scanner unreliable, and solution is so beyond simple that there are 12 year olds who could fix it.

    The only reason it hasn’t been done yet is because that don’t care. If they hosted ads and made money off people using it, it would have been fixed years ago. The app needs to ask the camera to autofocus, and that’s literally it.

    Here NYS. Just copy and paste this into your AVCaptureSession, and it’s fixed.

  • Useless

    1) Wouldn’t let me create my own 14 character password with capital letters, small letters, numbers and a “special character.” 2) Doesn’t let me pick numbers and buy a ticket. Why not? It’s 21st century. NYS sure as s.it makes it easy to pay my tolls online. You have an app, there’s been a pandemic and may be one in future. You want people to go out and buy lottery tickets during a shutdown? Afraid gas stations, liquor stores and vape shops (which used to be called stationery stores) will shut down if people can quickly and easily pick numbers? 3) Scanner doesn’t work
    4) Somebody is getting paid off to make things harder for NY residents, as usual. Should’ve known
