Used to be good
This app used to be very good, but then greed took over. Others have covered the ridiculousness of ads, I’ll talk about other issues. The description lists many options for in-app purchases, but only 3 seem to be currently available, and they are laughable. $199 per year? For what? Microsoft 365 is $70 when not on sale and includes at least 9 apps and a terabyte of cloud storage. Also, the developer used to address bugs promptly, but not any more. For example, the widget and the app show you different data. For me, the widget shows the correct daily gain, but not the correct portfolio total value, because the cash and money market funds are not included. That’s misleading. The app gets the value correctly, but the daily gain includes the total value of all money market funds every single day! To clarify, the total value of money market investment (like VUSXX) is shown as gain each day. That has been reported several times over the past few months. Finally, and maybe most importantly, this app tracks you needlessly. Look at the data used to track you across other apps and data linked to you: location, identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics. I understand that you need to make money, but terrible, intrusive ads and spying is not the way. Stopped supporting classic widgets
Updated to 5 Stars again as the team listened to my feedback and added back those widgets.
The technical team is open to receiving feedback and quickly fix reported bugs.

I was a big fan of this app. However, they decided to retire classic widgets support in one of their recent versions, and since then this app has become useless to me. They seem to forget (or ignore) that users don’t want to launch an app every single time they want to check the market, stocks or portfolio. Every basic financial app offers widgets these days. You should seriously reconsider supporting your classic widgets again, so that ALL Portfolios can be displayed at a glance.Show lessContentDriven

I believe I started with Stock Master over five years ago. At the time and there may still be a one time purchase option; which has become more of a value as the years roll by. I’ve been trying to build basic price volume charts on think or swim and it’s difficult, they have what seem to me pretty complex parameters. Not saying you don’t learn and build with Stock Master but nothing seems like it’s on the outer reaches of obscure. And it’s not just the charts the keep me jumping from my broker to S/M it’s everything is packed into one app; charts, financials, summary, earnings dates, stock advisors sentiments and much more. What ever I spent five or six years ago keeps appreciating year after year.Show lessK.ROOTS

Here’s what I wrote before. “Lots of great stock info, all you need to make good trading decisions. Works for me.” Now. While the app still has good and useful information, someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided to include ads. I’m not against ads but these ads are disruptive, persistent and block the whole page, interfering in what the user is trying to do, in the middle of what they’re trying to do. Nothing good comes out of frustrating the user, such as this downgraded review. A better option might be to place the ad when the user opens the app, or upon closing it. Another option would be smaller ads at the bottom of the page, or at the top, which might be time limited, or at least out of the way. Hope the developers pay attention to these reviews. As for me, I’ll be looking for an app that is useful but less intrusive. Note. I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3. I’d like to give 3.6 or 3.7 to be fair. Hope the devs fix it.

Still the MASTER…
Without question, Stock Master is “Simply the Best”. Better than all the rest. I was inspired to leave a new review after seeing these old negative reviews popping up.
I have just finished reviewing my several portfolios, my actual versus my potential portfolios. This app sums up all the details perfectly—dividends, splits, balances, buys, sells, etc., are all clearly presented, separately or together in full detail! This feature alone makes this app a top standout. Then there are all the other features.
So, yes, buy it at a very fair one-time price or subscribe if you want full capabilities and no ads. I did the former and am happy to support this developer. I’d recommend we all do the same.Show lesssnorkfire

I use this daily. The ads have gotten much more frequent and longer since late 2022, but it is still usable. The comments below were for a short period, but they seemed to have put back the live updates for now. The various view layout is nice, as well as the sector sections. Alerts are perfect. It even shows top 3 stocks on my iphone widget. No complaints except the number of ad increasing.
This was fixed: When open it would show the live changes to prices. This week that stopped working, and is only the price when I loaded the app. Idk if this is by design with an update or broken. It is useless without the updated pricing, and add the ads have become so intrusive in the past few months it’s difficult to use, I’ll be switching to an alternative.Show lessMaricat823
All YOU NEED!!
ThiS app has it all. If they don’t have it… then you probably don’t need it. I love this app for all my stock info - research, charts, maps, watchlist, newsfeeds, customize everything you want and then learn to customize more with so many options and settings. The only thing I can find wrong is all the ads; but i guess I’ll have to pay premium when I can’t take it anymore(or make some $rz.Show lessrobcp7
Best free-tractor for investing…
…that I could find. This app has helped me for two years, since 2020. I have stocks and cryptocurrency with multiple brokerages. This app helped me realize how diversified I wasn’t. I will keep using this app if developers keep updating.
As of now, I can’t enter my trades and delete them one by one without deleting trades I didn’t intend to delete. I can’t use this app on a desktop. (Nov 22,2022) And, the ads can be too much for some (they don’t bother me).
