Constantly crashing, disconnecting, volume control on phone not working since update, have to open and reconnect to tv every time the app is closedlinds.paige
Typical New Zealand made rubbish
So this app was created, made and run by “kiwis” hence the reason it has so many one star reviews. As most actual kiwis have left New Zealand this app is run buy the muslims and immigrants hence the reason it has so many one star reviews and doesn’t work properly ever in its history, I cannot explain how many times I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app all for it to never ever work properly so I’m convinced that anyone from 12 to 16 years of age could make this app work the way it was designed plus I’m also convinced that absolutely no one running this app cares about its performance at all as they just get paid to turn up because that’s the “kiwi” way plus I’m sure their kid was sick that day or their car broke down hence all the one star reviews.Show lessRuffmiester

I downloaded this app to watch Renters only to find out this wasn’t an app that brought NZ shows to other parts of the world. This is an app that keeps NZ shows… streaming in NZ. The company needs to optimize its full potential and work to make this service available worldwide. It could be wildly successful especially with clips from some of these shows only streaming on here going viral on social media right now.Show lessghettomermaid
Improved
This app is much improved from what it was. There are however still some significant annoyances.
The app randomly logs you out. Frequent enough that its annoying. Too far apart to remember the password. Don’t even know why it needs a login as it gives no benefits to the user, and doesn’t give TVNZ anything they couldn’t have tracked anyway. Its just lazy programming.
Some of us have real lives that may interrupt watching a show. If that happens in the last 10 minutes, TVNZ assumes you didn’t want to see the climax/resolution, or that critical introduction to the next episode.
Once you realise you’ve missed something important, and while scrubbing is much improved, trying to get back to where you left off if painful. You start the wrong episode. Ads. Exit, and start correct episode. Same ads. Wait. Move to where you think is about right. Dame ads again. Wait. Wrong place, try again. Same Ads again!! And so it goes.
Then there’s the watch list. You’ve watched almost the whole series and they just vanish. Yet something you watched 3minutes of and quit out will stay on the list forever and can’t be removed.
There is still a disappointingly limited range of shows. No sensible genre organisation. Repeatitive themes. Half the time if you do find something that looks OK, its not available! So why offer it then!!Show lessZurbit
