Awesome app, I have no mandarin language skills whatsoever and the BaiduTrans app allowed me to speak to locals in China from cab drivers and convenience store clerks to business associates. A god send!! A bonus it translates other languages eg Japanese to English, this app is incredibly useful for my business as I travel to China and Japan to conduct business, don't know how I ever got by without it! Network error
After updates now very slow to translate and always says network errorraymance
Baidu Translate used to be a great app...
But now, with this latest update, it has become fairly useless.
I used to use this app because I live in China and try to learn to speak, write and read Chinese. What was great about previous versions is, you could write characters into the app and it would provide you with the pinyin. It was the only app that did this and was so useful for learning Chinese. Now this feature has been removed.
I hope the developers put this feature back soon.Show lessCarlstep

One of must have app while visiting China where google doesn't work.
Voice as well as camera translation is fantastic for daily use.
If you want to learn Chinese, go for some other alternatives as other reviewers suggested.Skyrider777
