Fantastic for ESL users!
Accidentally decided to give it a try today when reading a book, and wow this app blows my mind! The comprehensiveness of functionalities is beyond any dictionaries/translation apps I have tried so far: definitions, phonetics, mnemonic tips, examples, and voice comparisons for users who want to improve pronunciations. The little chicken flipping page to look up words is so adorable:) It is a thoughtful app wonderfully put together and a delight to use.Show lessnerdydou

Best function removed :(
Prior to the latest update, copied text would appear immediately, when the "Enter your text..." field was selected. This made it very easy to translate text copied from another app, or to "back translate" (I always check my Chinese translation by translating it back to English).
Please restore this critical function 🙏 While it is missing, I'm using less preferable apps. But at least they don't require as many actions to translate copied text.Show lessBillGlennieNH
What happened to the copy button?
This app is (was) really good, and was my go-to translation app for many years in China. I rely on it to translate English into Chinese, which I can then paste into other apps (such as taobao). For some reason the latest version removed the “copy” button for easily copying translated text, and it’s not formatted well to do a long press, drag and copy (which wouldn’t be as convenient anyway).
Still a good translator but that loses half the functionality for me, so I will be switching to another app until it is fixed.Show lessTJ B. Jeezy
Blazingly Fast!!
It’s very FAST the moment you need to translate something. Unlike the other popular translation app (in red color), baidu doesn’t show you no crap before letting you translate something. Hope baidu developers can keep it up!hotcucum
Why???!!!
The latest update sent this APP backwards so much.
Why?
Now, if you enter a word or common phrase in English to translate to Chinese, it only gives you the English pronunciation whereas it used to give both.
