  • Current version crashes

Current version crashes, even on reinstall. It was nice prior to this.
  • Keeps crashing

the current update makes the app useless. Keeps crashing on start up.
  • Product Unusable due to constant crashing

Used to use this product all the time, now I can't rely on it to even check a stat before it crashes. If the problem is fixed soon, I'll give it another bash, if not, then I'm moving on.
  • Very good, needs cloud support

The app is incredibly useful and very well designed. It takes a little digging to find some of the options and on the fly adjustments, but it is still better than pen and paper. The auto calculating is great and very convenient. In addition having feedback to know you have situational bonuses (I.e. +2 vs goblinoids) is useful. If this had Dropbox support, I'd rate five stars. It is a bit annoying to have to email the portfolio back to hero lab to update and level.

  • Great Character Sheet App

While the pricing model on the Pathfinder data files for the desktop version is a little steep, this app makes it worth it, especially if you play a spell caster. The ability to reference spell text directly from the character sheet and keep track of spell usage from one session to another is wonderful. Even changing spell memorization is fairly easy.

Some things could be easier or more intuitive like buying stacks of things like rations or adding ability damage, but even those things don't warrant the app losing a star. It's just that useful.

  • Hero Lab for iPad...now I MUST have the full version

Thank you Lone Wolf for making a teaser so effective at making me: 1) love Hero Lab on the PC even more and 2) making me salivate by teasing me within the app itself with "we're working on a full Hero Lab version for the iPad" and "it will be out in 2013."

There are few, OK no, 3rd party character generators on the market as good as Hero Lab is for Pathfinder. Its a must have for all my characters, and all my players' characters at the table weekly. I usually ban PC use at my gaming table, mainly just because it takes up so much space and unbalances the game unless everyone is using one. No more. All my players have iPads and use them in game for various reference apps (spell descriptions, feats, and even some rules mongering). Now, they'll all be using this app for managing their characters in-game! Love it.

Technically, no issues with the app to date with the exception of a few small "can't's" as of yet: changing alignments and/or physical characteristics in-game, etc. No more turning PC's hair white in fear, I guess...

Lone Wolf - keep up the awesome support of gamers worldwide...and GET THAT FULL VERSION OUT NOW!! :)

  • Needs polish but a good start

The app is a good start to a useful character sheet on your iPad. However, it's easy to take damage when you meant to heal damage, and I don't know of any need to heal or take as much damage as allowed by the grid for entering that.

Conditions could be better managed from the main screen - if I am charging and raging, I should be able to add a round of rage used and clear the charging affect with fewer taps.

If you have Hero Lab, get this. If not, check out RPG Sheets for another way to have your character on your iOS devices.

  • Disappointing

I stand behind the Hero Lab character builder for the PC, it is an awesome product. I funded the kickstater for Realworks, which is also going to be a great product. This product is equally awesome except it is ONLY for the Pathfinder System. If I played Pathfinder, this would be great but I use my Hero Lab for several other game systems that it supports and this app does not support them. I am just disappointed because this product has a lot of potential and Lone Wolf has zero interest in creating this for other rpg licenses that they hold. Why call it Hero Lab "Pathfinder" Character Sheet if this was not the case? They should have done a kickstarter for his if they were having trouble financially supporting multiple licenses for this app.
Nice Product with tons of potential (5 stars)
Failure to target your entire Customer Base by only supporting one rpg license (1 star).

  • Simply Amazing

What an awesome application, it takes a tool like HeroLab which is an exemplary character composer, and strips away the clunky laptop that sits like a barrier between player interaction.

The character sheet is so well linked to the source documents that that any skill, feat, spell, or esoteric bonus is a touch away from the rule reference in full.

    This was worth the wait!

  • Perfect product

This product is really great, it fills a much needed gap in the market and is so useful.

    Love it!
