Not Getting Suggestions and Discover is Broken

Have had the App for multiple days and only have a 7 year age range around my age (20-27) and within 10miles of Hull (10mile radius is larger than the city) and I have not received suggestions.
The only distance after 10 miles jumps straight to 25 miles, which is too far.

When I filter searches on the discover tab (as all profiles shown are ridiculously far away) I get no results.
As a test I filtered for someone I last saw on the discovery tab (they were a 21 year old so I just searched between 20-27 and nothing else) and I got a “no results” response; App is broken.

Hiding likes behind a paywall

You can’t see the people who have liked you unless you subscribe to the premium. Only this app does this. Bumble and even Tinder let you see your likes by swiping. It’s no wonder so few people use this app.

Really unpleasant, pay-to-date

I really dislike using this app.
Basically inferior to Hinge in every way.

First, I only ever see people I’m attracted to in the “discover” section; or people who send me flowers.
99% of my suggested are people I’m not attracted to. Surely the algorithm would notice I dislike all of them and change the selection? It doesn’t.
I suspect that either the pool of people actually using the app is super tiny, or they want to frustrate you to push you to buy flowers. I don’t comply with apps attempting to make my experience negative on purpose.

Your experience of the app is to see 25 profiles you can like or dislike daily. Any more likes you might wanna send to people from the discover section, you’ll need to send as a flower (which get priority exposure) and pay for.

Also, there seems to be some weird mechanic going on where you can only text a fixed amount or something? I’m not sure but people I was texting said they had limited messages they could send.

In conclusion, not worth it, not the “you’ll meet the one here” I was sold.
Oh did I mention the CEO or whoever will email you to convince you to spend more on the app? Yikes. “I’m not saying that because it literally makes money…” type of email. Sorry but I don’t pay in the hope of then having a good product, I pay when I know I have a good product I want more of.

I’ll go back to Hinge.

No safety - scammers

So when I first joined, it optimistically told me that there were 11 guys my type coming up, who liked me, if I paid I could match with them. After paying, these matches disappeared. So it appears to have been false to reel me in.

I was then targeted by a scammer, it was a fake account. After reporting I had no follow up on what happened or concern for if I was safe.

I have very little experience of finding quality matches on this app. I’ve asked for my money back but there is little to no customer services. I don’t think this app is therefore safe and I don’t recommend.

CMB

It used to be a better app. In the past you always were getting 10 suggestions a day. Now you get 2-3 tops and it is not every day. Even in discovery’s you can leave everything open and on one is showing up.
I can’t say I had luck on the app in the past but I think to pay over £30 for a monthly subscription and don’t have the possibility to look for potential partner it is too much. The app has potential but it should go back to how it used to work before.

Likes and Discover Page

The focus of the app is to get you to pay instead of finding you a match. The best example of this is how the likes work and the discover page. I downloaded this app Sunday and it is now Wednesday, so far I received 4 likes (reading the other reviews, the developer states they’ll come up in the suggested page). Out of 4 only 1 has shown up in my suggested so far. The very first like I received (Monday) has yet to pop up (I’ve read reviews that it can take weeks). The only way to see your likes without having to wait, is to pay. It’s worth mentioning that according to the app, they are “my type” yet they fail to appear in the suggested.
The discover page (people outside my preferences) shows you about 20 people. So far it has shown me the same 15 people and about 5 change every day. If you want to discover more people, you have to pay.
I read comments that in the past they used to allow you to see 2 of your likes a day and that the discover page would refresh daily. If this was the case I would give this app 5 stars.
Overall I like having to swipe on only a few people a day that are suggested to me by the app, but I feel like I’m being gate kept from potential matches.

Free App is down right unusable, paid premium to see my likes only to realise they were bots

I feel scammed. Maybe the app is much better in US and Australian market is much more scarce, but the free app is almost unusable as there are little to no profiles to screen through, and the likes I got weren’t showing naturally. I decided to pay for the premium service to screen the profiles, only for me to realise that most were bots. Like seriously? I paid 55$ to see bots? Come on man, screen better if you’re demanding such an outrageous price. If you’re in Australia, would not recommend. Please create a better auto screening and bot detection if not this review stands. And don’t pay lock everything. A premium price demands a premium app.

At least the people are real

I have used maybe 5 or 6 dating apps over 6 years. While each has its various quirks and issues, CMB seems the best of the bunch. I don’t pretend it’s “the answer” to everyone’s dating challenges, BUT it has clear benefits over other apps. That main benefit I believe, is that the people actually exist and don’t seem to want to separate me from my credit card numbers and/or underwear. That said, I’ve met some great people across multiple apps and made lasting friendships with some. Again, CMB leads in this aspect, for me at least. I hope this is helpful, and that you find what you’re looking for. Above all, remember to be kind - we are all just trying to find our way in the dark.

Pretty promising so far

Decided to try this app out and was pleasantly surprised with the systems in place and how the app feels unique compared to others. However as an lgbtq+ user, I find that I only get about 2-3 users to possibly match with when noon hits and no one in my discover to choose from at all. Maybe it’s the smaller population of users within my demographic that use the app, but this is where most of my grievances lie.
