Well designed

I’m very impressed with Proton Pass so far. I was able to easily import my passwords and secure notes from Bitwarden. The app and browser plugins are well designed and easy to use. I am now also using Proton Pass as my 2FA Authentication app, with no problems.

Thank you for your kind words of support! If you have any additional suggestions on how we can improve the app even further and earn a 5th star from you, feel free to give us your feedback, as we always value our community's input in improving our products.

Great so far

I’m used to using Bitwarden and I was excited to see Pass came out since I pay for Proton already. Seems to be on par with all the same things as BW but no hardware keys yet. Also it seems to randomly sign me out of proton pass entirely which is inconvenient and annoying. Since I have my passwords to login under that, makes signing in a bit more annoying. No settings to prevent signing out completely either. Just app lock out. Face ID is a nice feature as well.

Thank you for taking the time to rate and review our app! Hardware key authentication is already supported while logging into Proton on the web: https://proton.me/support/2fa-security-key. We're planning to support this on the mobile apps as well in the future. Regarding the random logouts you've experienced, if you do encounter this again, could we please ask you to send us the application logs to our support team at pass@protonme.zendesk.com so we can look further into this? Thank you in advance.

Importing

I think it would be convenient to directly import to the app instead importing to the browser extension. Please fix.

This is on our roadmap - thank you for your feedback and 4-star rating!

WOW

It’s a Great App. Congrats 🍾

Just OK. Like every other Proton App

I get that Pass is a brand new offering. However, the password manger space is crowded and frankly dominated by a couple of well established players. I was hoping that Proton would really differentiate themselves here and they didn’t.

You’ve got to do better Proton.

Response from developer

We're sorry you think so, and would really appreciate your feedback on what we can do specifically in order to improve the app. We already offer something different by including a hide-my-email feature in the app and by utilizing our strong security infrastructure for Pass, as for all our other products. If you have any particular suggestions, please feel free to share them here or by contacting us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com. We always value our community's feedback in improving our products further.

Great but….

Glad to have the proton peace of mind in a password manager, but something about the ux design feels a little clunky compared the other apps in the proton suite. Can’t quite put my finger on it though.

Still happy that I can get even more out of my unlimited subscription now, though!!

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! If you have any specific feedback on how we can improve the UX for the app, please feel to elaborate here or by contacting us at pass@Protonme.zendesk.com. We value all feedback from our community in improving our products with each next iteration.

Good idea but

I get the same benefits from another password app for free. The “trial” doesn’t offer you any of the paid upgrade to try. Only the basic option to create a sign on/password and save it. I’ll stick w/ my free password app.

Response from developer

You can view the premium features you can access in our support article on the topic: https://proton.me/support/pass-trial. With this in mind, we hope you will reconsider your rating of the app, especially since you mention that you find the free version useful. We'll never limit you from using the free version, even after the trial expires.

It just works!

I just have recently set up the Proton Pass app for me it's only missing the ability to auto fill or copy the two factor authentication tokens to my clipboard.

It was even super easy to transfer my passwords from Keeper to Proton Pass.

When I saw there was a discount for an annual subscription for the Pro plan for this app I jumped on it. Thanks proton team!

Response from developer

Thank you for your kind words of support! We already support auto-filling and copying the 2FA code in the iOS app. Make sure the 'Copy 2FA code' option is toggled on in your app settings. You can find detailed instructions with screenshots in our dedicated support article: https://proton.me/support/pass-2fa#configure-ios. If we can assist you with anything else, please feel free to contact us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com at any time.

Great app so far

I love it, but few things that can really truly help are:

- Sharing feature, so I can share login with someone without actually revealing the password through communication. Defeats the purpose of password manager to do that.
- Search index takes time. I'm sure it will improve over time
- My phone doesn't show Proton Pass in the passwords list on settings under 2FA. But I know the app settings show it's on.
- Few more but I'll add those later

Works great

I've been waiting for proton to bring out a P/W manager and they do not disappoint. Fast, slick and the alias feature is a very nice added security touch along with the security we have all come to expect from proton.

The only negative is there seems to be an issue using Firefox as the default browser in the app but it's not a huge issue as it works fine filling passwords in on Firefox it's just launching it from the app.
