Changed for the worst
I used to love this brokerage but they quickly went back in everything they used to represent. I’ve had money stuck in the brokerage for months with the inability to withdraw or close any open positions on my outstanding shares. Customer support also went downhill quickly, and I am now stuck paying $5/month for all my accounts because all attempts to let me close my accounts have been ignored. Predatory practices and not worth $5/month to begin with as the software is unreliable and glitchy with inaccurate account balances being displayed.

WORST FINANCIAL APP
By far one of the worst experiences I ever had.
The apps glitches and it’s unavailable constantly.
Also they charge you $5 monthly and half the time I wanted to use it for a reason or another the app was not working.
Their customer service is hit or miss, sometimes they don’t answer for months others they answer quickly with pre-typed emails.
Stay away from it!

READ THIS BEFORE OPENING AN ACCOUNT
I have to say Fennel was easily the best brokerage out there at one point, however that has IMMENSELY changed in the last couple weeks. Fennel has now thrown their users under the bus and sided with corporate america and is even now illegally locking a good deal of their users’ accounts, including their funds. Myself, along with several of my friends and colleagues cannot even access their money and are locked out of this feature, right before Christmas when we need to buy xmas presents for our children and family members!! Not to mention my family depends on this income I make in my fennel accounts to pay everyday expenses, utilities, groceries, etc. Now we do not even know how we will buy food and pay our bills. My friends and colleagues who use fennel are now having to talk to lawyers about litigating against fennel to get access to our funds in our trading accounts. This is OUR money!! Yet Fennel believes they have the legal right to lock our money up and not allow any withdrawals until December 15th!!!WHATEVER YOU DO, AVOID THIS BROKERAGE OR YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS TURMOIL SOMEDAY ALSO!! CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING TOLD BY YOUR BROKERAGE YOU CAN’T HAVE ANY ACCESS TO YOUR MONEY FOR A FULL MONTH!?

Worst support out of any brokerage
They don't have a phone number or any contact apart from an email address that was impossible to find without digging for iy. And even if you do email them, they probably won't respond (they just ghosted me).
Not to mention the brokerage account costs $5 a month while it's free at most brokerages. You would expect that a PAID brokerage would have something to offer for the extra cost, like more features or better support.
But no, Fennel is somehow more expensive yet worse than other brokerages.

Ups and downs
These people do not respond fast at all. I have an account that has been pending for about a month. and one of my accounts has the bank unlinked so they disabled it but wont let me link it back and i have funds in it
Disabled two of my accounts and no support.
They randomly disabled two of my accounts with funds in them and support has not responded to four emails as we speak. Be very careful when using this app. I’ll update if it ever gets resolved.
Customer service doesn’t exist anymore
The customer service for this app seems to be nonexistent as of October 2024. Based on these old reviews, it looks like it worked in the past, but I have been trying to withdraw funds and I have been rejected every single time. I have emailed them multiple times and nobody has reached out to me with any explanation.
Do not use Fennel when trading with a brokerage, take your time and money elsewhere.

Lack of support
I tried contacting fennel support on multiple occasions through email and phone number. It’s been 4 days now and I have gotten zero reply. Zero customer support presence with using this app. I would update my review if anything changes.
Excellent app
Fennel is amazing. It’s easy to use and the customer service is superb. I highly recommend for beginners and experienced users!
