Used hatch for my first 2 kids, both died or didn’t function fully. This is a far superior product. Highly recommend

Sound turns on randomly- disruptive

We have a Hatch for our first child and have had so many issues with this Nanit product that we never had with the Hatch. Both products are connected to the same internet, so you can’t blame connection. The sound will turn on for just seconds when I look at the camera, but won’t stay on consistently. At this point, it is just a red light clock on my night stand.

Sound and light machine

I enjoy the sound and light machine for my child. I like the feature of setting up nightly routines. Although, I have trouble with setting multiple back to back. The cry detector doesn’t always work like it should. And I was hoping to use the monitoring sound feature while at work when the baby sitter is over but if your not on WiFi you can’t utilize that feature.

LOVE

We LOVE this product. We use everyday and have taken it everywhere we go. So many different sound options to choose from and love the off white light for middle of the night changes. Super easy to use.

Can’t even connect to the app

I just got this item and I tried to connect my sound machine about 10 times. Everything is done correctly but the app keeps saying to troubleshoot. I literally did all the prompts they told me. Restarted my machine, reconnected the WiFi, etc. I’m super annoyed because this is the only sound machine I found that works on battery for a long time and works in a plug with an app. For the price of this I would expect things to actually work.

Will not integrate with app on iPad.

I like to use this app to monitor my baby during the day, since the screen is bigger than on my phone; however I am unable to control the sound and light from the nanit app like I can with he phone, which is incredibly annoying. In fact, as far as I can tell, there is no accessories menu in the iPad version, period. Why is this glaring omission a thing?

Connection very spotty

My app has a horrible time connecting to the sound machine. Sometimes I can control it, sometimes I can’t. This is very frustrating when I try to turn the light off in the middle of the night and the sound goes off too and wakes up my baby. I have to kill the app very often for it even to connect. It has gotten worse in the 3 months I have used it.
I like the sound machine I just wish the app connection was better!

Latest update not working well

Before and after I updated the newest update the microphone on the sound machine was not working not sure what to do

So far so good! One feature request—AirPlay

The hardware (Nanit Pro and Sound & Light) and software both seem very cool so far. Everything seems to work great. It would be awesome to be able to AirPlay our own music to the camera and sound & light). Thanks!

Needs better color choices

Let the user pick from normal white options like soft white, warm white, daylight etc instead or a very inaccurate and hard to use color wheel.

Or let user specify a color by a number/hex. Because I want double tap to make the same color brighter (but a soft white, not any of the built in horrible presets).

You may adjust the brightness of this warm white by using the back volume buttons or in the app using the volume slider on the controls screen.
