I’ve been studying Hebrew for a decade or so, and over the past several years, I’ve been learning a bit about linguistics and second language acquisition. When I heard about Biblingo’s methodology, I was optimistic that it would be good. Finally, I decided to try the 10-day free trial and was blown away by how good it is. It not only teaches you grammar and vocabulary, but also cultivates intuitions *in* the biblical languages. Within 2 weeks I was able to read and understand a number of basic sentences in Greek and even produce sentences of my own.
The program is all laid out in front of you so you don’t have to figure out what to do next. You just follow the program, which is organized into nice bite-size lessons. So far, I have never felt overwhelmed, and I have always felt like I’m advancing. Plus, the lessons are genuinely fun.
If you want to learn Hebrew or Greek, you will be doing yourself a favor to go ahead with the free trial. You don’t even have to give payment info for the trial. After doing the trial, I knew, hands down, it was worth it to sign up for a year. It’s much less expensive than most other options and I’ve never seen anything as good in terms of actually teaching the languages.
One last thing, the staff has been extraordinarily helpful.
