  • Gold standard.

What else can I say? Just a really well executed and smart port of one of the most addictive games of all time. Would love to be able to port my save file over from the PC version.

I only have a single complaint, and that's that the on-screen joystick isn't actually analog--you can only move at full speed or not move at all, which can make the game a bit difficult to play especially once my character starts getting really fast.

Until that's fixed, I'll still be playing it on PC, but this is still a great way to spend some time if I only have my phone on me.

  • Merchant not working

The merchant is completely broken and doesn’t show anything even after unlocking the glass vizard from the secrets menu. When interacting with them prior to force unlocking it the merchant would take gold but not give anything in return and not show anything other than the “Fancy a new Vizard?” message. Other than that bug though the game insanely well optimized barely getting any frame drops even on 60 minute runs on max curse. Looking past this one issue I’ve had with my save it’s an absolutely perfect port.

  • Fantastic game but glaring issue

This game is great, so much better than the clones of it that have spawned on mobile, but one thing the clones do better is saving your progress mid run. It’s incredibly frustrating to switch to a different app for a few minutes to come back and see you’ve lost like 15-20 minutes of progress. I understand this isn’t originally a mobile game but as it’s on mobile now, it should be made to accommodate shorter playing sessions.

  • Most amazing take on Freemium Gaming!

While already a fan of the Steam version, I was more than happy to buy this on iOS. When I saw it was FREE, I was immediately filled with dread, as NOTHING is truly free. Expecting my beloved game to be ruined with arbitrary timers, 6 resources, and a truckload of IAPs, I was totally surprised by your implementation. A completely free game with only optional ads for both 1 revive and an option to watch an ad to double the gold you earned on this last run!

  • This much fun shouldn’t be allowed.

Ok this game is amazing, period. Very very addicting rogue-like with TONS of replay ability. Plenty of items to unlock, characters to play, levels to explore, and secrets to uncover.

I can’t believe this game is completely FREE and the only ads are completely 100% optional. 1 if you want to revive and 1 if you want a bonus to your gold at the end of a stage. Neither speed the game up or ad much of a benefit and the game runs offline. At this point I actually WANT to donate to the devs.

If you don’t have this game on your device for emergency boredom you really should. It’s great for sessions lasting a few min or can be played for hours on end. I. Love. This. Game.

  • One of the best, yet simplest games

I played this game for hundreds of hours on the PC, very glad to see it come to mobile too. Insanely fun and addicting gameplay with satisfying progression, storyline and mechanics.

Ignore anyone saying it's repetitive or boring, they likely gave up in the first 3 mins because of their short attention span. The first few runs are the hardest but once you get the hang of it, it's great. You'll just want to keep playing to unlock more and more.

10/10, devs just need to fix a few bugs (namely kill and coin counters, the black bars at the bottom of non-native screens, etc).

  • Touch screen ruins the game

This is my most played game on the steam deck so it wasn’t easy for me to rate the game this way on the mobile version. As the title says, playing this on a touch screen makes the game incredibly hard and feels like a drunk simulator compared to playing with a analog stick or mouse. An option for an onscreen dpad may help resolve this and keep you thumb away from the middle of the screen.

There also seems to be a bug where movement becomes unresponsive after opening a chest. The enemies appear to move a fraction of a second before hand resulting in a quick death. Because the game is all round more difficult on mobile it would make things easier if opening a chest and watching adds (at revival) pentagram all the enemies away to give you a chance. At the moment as soon as you revive you just die.

It is nice seeing this game on a decent screen though, something the steam deck lacks.

  • PERFECT iOS port

First off, this game is absolutely fantastic on iOS. I’ve played with zero issues and been having a blast.

ONE issue I would like to see addressed is losing progress if you have to pause the game to do something else. There should be a function that will continue your game instead of just starting over. I had to take a call and when I went back, it just went back to the main menu. I lost a ton of progress which was annoying.

Other than that, this is the best game on the App Store right now. There aren’t even ads unless you want to revive. I would have gladly paid money for this game so there are NO complaints from me.

  • Great game! Needs a resume mechanic

Love this game, no p2w and simple ads for a few extra bonuses like revives and gold that I would happily pay to remove.

The only thing missing on mobile is some sort of resume ability. These levels are long and there is nothing more frustrating than getting a FaceTime call or text and going back only to find that the game has kicked back to the start menu and all your progress was lost.

  • Great Port, but needs quick resume asap

This is a great essentially 1:1 port of the PC game. Some relatively non-obtrusive ads-for-extra-life and some questionable data collection policies, but other than that the port is everything I’d hoped for.

The one thing letting the game down is the lack of any quick resume. If you have to close the game mid run for some reason you’ll lose all progress on that run, which unfortunately is inexcusable on a phone game.

2/5 stars for now, fix the resume issue and it’s an easy 5.
