Great app, minor issue

I’m enjoying this app a great deal, primarily due to how easy it is to find indie comics and high quality stuff. While I love that the way that pages are layed out is annoying to browse. Instead of a standard format of simple scrolling/swiping to go between pages and then using a button to go to a different issue of the comic you scroll through about half a page to a full page of a comic then press a button to go to the next one. This makes the whole experience somewhat annoying from a user standpoint, and to my knowledge pages are what’s uploaded by the author as opposed to the more standard formats of chapters/whole issues. I can see why the system is the way it is, but I would prefer if button presses transferred between full issues and you just scrolled/swiped between pages inside a given issue.

Has potential, needs improvement

Download, signed up for subscription, and waiting for a refund a few days layer.

These are improvements that need to be made…

Sorting by series and timeline is horrible. There needs to be an option to follow a series, not just a publisher. It needs to be easier to filter what you are looking for.

Adjust the viewer to accommodate iphone notch

Allow users to hide things from the main screen that you are not interested in. It is great that there is selection, but not all the selection is great. If there is a series that I don’t want to see, allow an option to mute or hide. Example, when setting up my account, i wanted robots, zombies and sci-fi. It suggested that and a long list of mature content i am not interested in. Cant mark it no, cant make it go away, AND I CANT SHOW THE APP TO MY KIDS BECAUSE OF IT.

If the developer wants to respond, great. Love to have a conversation.

Hi Nick, Thank you for the thorough feedback. Add to Library is the function to follow only a series and not the publisher/creator as a whole. This will allow you to receive notifications just for updates to that series. Please reach out to contact@globalcomix.com so we can discuss. We'd like to learn more about your thoughts on the shift from onboarding to the home stream to improve that experience, as well as suggestions you have for filter options.

It’s a monthly subscription, like a Netflix for comics. It’s got some good comics in there like spawn, and the boys and more that you might not have ever heard of. Long story short I recommended.

Great app but…

I love the app. But I got about 50 pages into a comic and it said I have to pay. Other than that it’s a fire app. But I’m wondering do you have to pay for every comic or just certain ones???

Thank you for the review! We allow creators and publishers to decide if their content is included in the GlobalComix Gold subscription or made free to read. We're always looking into ways to improve the availability of preview issues, and some publishers make their entire first issues free to read! You can use the Free filter when searching and you'll be able to explore everything that's fully free to read.

Finally a place where good stories can live. Now that we can download and read online, this service is damn near perfect. No, it’s not free, nor it should be, we want to support the artists and the industry, but it’s got exceptional value. If you’re a comic book fan you know what an expensive hobby this is. Now you can read until your eyes bleed and save $$ and space for those really unique titles you want to own. No Marvel or DC? No problem! You got the amazing catalogues of Image, Boom!, ONI, Vault, TKO, AWA and many others as well as Indy creators. Thanks, Global Comix for bringing them all together!
