Buggy and unreliable

Spent an hour today setting the thing up and learning about it. Go to use it tonight for the first time and I’m told I have to wait 2 hours to use again due to a recent stim session?? What a waste of time. This is going back.

It helps

I have been using the device for a couple weeks now and do believe it has been helping my sleep issues. Would give it 5 stars but the app definitely needs some work

It works but buggy (doesn’t track sleep stages)

I got the band about two weeks ago. The first two nights were amazing. I put me down to sleep right away.

Over the last 8 days it has lost the efficacy of getting me sleepy, but based on my wearables I’m having more deep sleep. I’m not sure if it is coincidence or if it is the headband or if it is just wearable algorithms updates (which I know oura recently got one)

I’m going to finish my trial to see if it improves by me wearing it thru the night otherwise I’ll return it.

TIP: you can take the electrodes off and just wear the headband. It will track your sleep and show the sleep tracking (quality and time) the next night after your run the sessions which is annoying and no sleep stages will be shown or time in sleep stages is shown to you

Not working for me

I honestly tried to give this a fair try, but it does not do much for me but tingle and gives me a temporary minor headache which quickly goes away. Its been a month now and now that im seeing these reviews im hoping im not paying the recurring electrodes fee. Im going to have to look into this.

Please fix app!

I am unable to start session as it always says that there is a bad connection with the electrodes. I have done everything to try and fix this (changing electrodes, different head positions, restarting device/app, etc.). I believe there is a bug with the app or I got a bad device.

Bait and switch company

I bought a somnee head band on Feb 3, 2023 for $224 and it was delivered mid October 2023. When I bought it there was no indication I would be on the hook forever to use the darn thing. I waited 8 months to try it out and they demand customers subscribe and give them access to a valid credit card to even try it out. I expected the disposable adhesive electrical terminators would cost something but had no clue they would gouge customers $18 a month forever to subscribe. Sounds like grounds for a class action law suit. I will push a complaint with Apple app store and as for a refund from Goldman. They haven’t responded to my complaints and I haven't found a phone number that works.

Forces you to subscribe before you can even try the device

Can’t believe the low level that this company goes to. Even after buying the device, you cannot do a thing until you hand over a card and subscribe for an $18 a month fee. Such a low ball. Sure it says 60 days free supposedly, but if so then how about you allow use for 60 days with a card ? And then collect if there is value. Very disappointed with the approach here. I refuse to do it. Will throw the device in the trash and suggest others do the same thing

Incredible, it works!

I have some chronic health problems that give me awful insomnia (think 2-3 different rotating sleep meds each night) and I obsessively track my sleep quality with my Fitbit.

I’ve done transcranial electric stim on my own so I didn’t have high hopes for the Somnee, but it WORKS! I’m getting measurably deeper and better sleep. Am going through a stressful time and still sleeping like a baby.

The first stim session actually didn’t do much for me, I noticed results more on the second, and then after that, things got better and better. I now start
falling asleep middle of the session. As someone who physically is unable to nap, and never falls asleep spontaneously, this is a godsend.
