  • Actually works

I was hesitant to try it, but after doing research I took the plunge. I am so glad that I did. I no longer take sleeping pills to sleep and the Somnee works extremely well
  • Disappointing App

I’ve been using Somnee for over a year. I think the device may help me fall asleep faster, which is why I’ve stuck with it for so long, but I’m not sure I’d recommend Somnee because the app has issues. There are many nights I can’t use my Somnee because the app is malfunctioning. And the sleep reports are made available days later if at all. Considering the price of the device and the monthly membership, it’s very surprising and frustrating how bad the app is.
  • deep sleep scores improved

i also noticed the nights i used Somnee i had higher deep sleep scores. Also very relaxing and i fell asleep faster the nights i went through a session.
  • Truly helps

I’ve had chronic sleep issues for years, and the Somnee headband truly helps me fall asleep. The charging station is wonky, you have to get it just right for it to charge, and even a small move will knock it off, so hoping future models address this. I will say, it’s the only thing that’s really helped me fall asleep and I’m willing to put up with a few kinks because the science behind it seems to actually work. I won’t go a night without it and even bring it with me on work travel . I used to have horrible sleep on the road - and this is a game changer. Really useful for when I need to be on my “A game” for work presentations and travel. Highly recommended!
  • Where science meets magic 💫

They say that science is indistinguishable from magic if it’s advanced enough. And while I know the science behind Somnee has been tried and tested through years of research, led by a team of UC Berkeley neuroscience and sleep experts… To me, Somnee feels like magic.

My husband wears a CPAP machine, so getting a good night’s sleep has been tricky in recent years. Since using Somnee, my sleep has gotten significantly better. When I wake up, I’m in a much better mood and my energy lasts longer through the day.

The app makes the journey to personalize your Somnee to your brain patterns not only seamless, but enjoyable. I loved seeing my digital brain light up as I did more sessions!

While it did take around 14 sessions to really start seeing the full impact to my days, the wait was well worth it. Definitely worth a try if you’re struggling with sleep. And with their 30-day risk-free guarantee, it makes trying it out for yourself a no-brainer!
  • Huge help.

Best thing I’ve used for my sleep issues to date. Comfortable and easy to use. I have already recommended it to several friends. If you have insomnia I very strongly suggest giving it a try.
  • 10/10!

After struggling with sleep issues for years, I stumbled upon Somnee Sleep while searching for solutions online. I was skeptical but I decided to give it a shot—and I'm thrilled that I did.

I won't lie—my sleep troubles didn't disappear overnight. But with consistent use of the Somnee app, I've noticed a gradual improvement in my overall sleep quality. I'm falling asleep faster, staying asleep longer, and waking up feeling more refreshed than I have in years. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend Somnee Sleep to anyone struggling with sleep issues.
  • Sleep aid technology that works

I’ve had trouble staying asleep for years. It affected my ability to focus on my schoolwork and limited my energy level.
A friend recommended I check out Somnee to see if could help me improve my sleep quality.
I’ve been using the product and the app for 3 weeks and I notice a difference. I wake up less and the app help track the data for me to review. It’s easy use, even for a non techie person.
  • It’s really hard to find reviews for this thing

I tried to look everywhere for reviews on this thing (honest ones) so here it goes:

Overall, it is like $300 for the headband and $18 per month for the subscription and there is no way to use this thing without the subscription.

The customer support is pretty quick to respond but they beat around the bush when answering questions and often do not give direct answers.

    Pros:
*I noticed a slight improvement in my sleep. It did not cure my insomnia but I was able to get some relief, I believe from this thing.

One thing is for sure: you have to do work on your nervous system also and can’t rely i. This device or any other wearable for that matter if you aren’t also doing things to help yourself, like exercise and regulating your nervous system.

    Cons:
*There is no way around the subscription if you want to use the device and get new electrodes (supposedly have to switch them every few days)- honestly I think that part is a gimmick.
*The device/app is super buggy, and there are definitely times where I have been unable to use it as a result. The app is not reliable.
*When I had trouble with it, I would try to fix it and test it before I was ready for bed which was a huge mistake because it will time you out for 12 hours and it cant can’t tell that the device is not actually on your head, so I think the “reading your brain waves” is not real since it couldn’t even tell it wasn’t on my head.

Overall, I have severe insomnia and I use this in conjunction with a lot of other things: alpha stim, infrared sauna, supplements like ashwaganda, melatonin, etc. and I do believe it has provided some relief or at least not hurt. I love my body outside everyday and do my best to have other healthy habits in conjunction with this.

I would not pay full price for it, however, and recommend getting the headband on eBay or something like that.

I really dislike being forced to use the subscription.
  • Scars aren’t worth the sleep

I’ve been using Somnee, since it was first released. The product does what it claims to do. However, I found myself with a stockpile of patches for the device, and after sometime started to get burn wounds and scarring on my forehead, where the device touched my forehead. They recently updated where you can reduce, or increase the intensity of the device which I set to the lowest setting yet still was experiencing wounds and scarring. I really wished this would work, but I don’t want to risk permanently scarring my appearance in the quest for a restful night sleep.
