Does not work at all

A great example how to take a working app and wreck it after company takeover. After numerous updates app does. It switch on scheduled charging at all - all the info about starting schedule at random time is there, but nothing happens. Car is left uncharged overnight.

Worse then the original

Really poor, slow to update, constant pop ups telling me my tariff is wrong, will be returning to the original app instantly.

Often gets stuck

Not great app. Always seems to want to update and then gets stuck for ages trying to do so. Also sticks when trying to an amend schedule or turn on a schedule.

There have been a few updates recently - we develop our app in-house so are continually improving and adding new features - many of which come from customer feedback.

Don’t get this charger if you own a VW.

Terrible customer service. I have an ID3. Had the Andersen charger for over a year. Charging is very erratic. Sometimes charges at 7.7kw sometimes 3.8 and sometimes 0.1. After months of back and forth with customer support I was told it was an issue with the car model and I should follow up with VW. Surely Andersen should be working with VW to resolve this. Don’t buy this charger if you have an ID3 or you’ll have sleepless nights checking the charging rate on the App so you can drive your car the next day. Was hoping this new App would solve the problem but no improvement at all.

Good app- but with a flaw or two

Used the previous app fine and migrated to this new one when it was released. Looks good, intuitive (mainly) but I am frustrated by the slow response time to communicate with the charger. Can take about 1 minute to change settings, update times, etc. I cannot easily fathom why - when I have high speed WiFi connectivity locally (same network for phone and charger) and 900 Mb/s fibre optic internet connection - there is much delay at all. Should be virtually instantaneous update.
Also we have noticed many times when either saved charge time does not save, but remains at time period before the changes were applied or the car fails to charge when it was clearly set up to do so overnight.
One thing I’m that is not intuitive is that having “locked” the charger after a charge now period, then even if you go and set up and save an overnight charge period, the charger does not listen to that command. For some reason it seems like you need to also unlock the charger.

So overall a good app- lets us use cheap rate to charge our EVs, but could definitely be better!

Hi Andy, Thanks for your review and feedback. This has been passed on to our development team. As we develop in-house, we are well placed to take on board all feedback. The lock feature is to deny any unauthorised access - if it was locked but then charged during a scheduled time, this would allow others to charge their vehicle, negating the lock feature's purpose. The responsiveness and the non-charging from a schedule need investigating. Please contact us on 01234916125

Good development - needs work

Feels like a Beta version - lost schedule couple of times / often suggests new version available when there is none / slow to process changes to schedule

Great app with great features

A really nice app with some great features such as scheduling and being able to download reports on your charging!

Nice update but…

This is a nice overall update to the previous one more options etc but I prefer the front screen of the older one as it’s abit cleaner, clearer and most importantly the lock and unlock bit is more in your face to remind you to lock when finished.

Quick suggestion: can the wall charger have an update to auto lock once disconnected from the car so you only have to unlock to charge.

Nice improvement

It’s a nice improvement on the old Konnect app. Looks and feels more modern, also seems more responsive. Shame to lose the tab which shows current grid/solar load though, be great if that could be brought back.

Great addition

I have had my Anderson charger for a good 6 months and have only had one minor issue - turns out my WiFi wasn’t strong enough to talk to the charger! Since I got myself a WiFi extender, I’ve had no problems at all. App works efficiently. Much better than the old Konnect+. I am able to check my charging costs, link my electricity tariff and schedule my charging. Well done Anderson 🤝
