One Fatal Flaw
This is a nicely designed app, but it has a fatal flaw that means I have to look elsewhere. There is no synchronization with a Mac (or any other) desktop or laptop. I just can’t be keeping two separate sets of passwords, unfortunately.
Update: I understand that it syncs with iCloud, but I have to assume that the only option on the Mac side is Apple Keychain. I’ve never found Apple Keychain to be reliable or stable. After using it for a year or so it always starts popping up sync errors and you end up having to erase everyone start over. I’ve tried relying on Keychain several times over the years since it first came out and this has never gotten better. It’s an embarrassment and I don’t know why Apple can’t get it right. So I’m using BitWarden because it has apps on both MacOS and iOS. It’s not beautiful at all, and I wish there was a better alternative, but it is very stable. If indeed there is a non-Apple Keychain solution that works with Authenticator on the Mac side that also works with multiple browsers, I would be very interested in hearing about it.Show lessTomA2

Why force 5 star review?
I’m not sure that I understand why I should give a 5 star review without having even used the app. I’m giving it 4 stars, only because setup went easy and it seems like a well thought out program. I hope this program is worthy of my trust.Amberhawke

Early Solicited review? Why?
Just got the program and it’s asking for review or 5 star rating before you can even start beginning to use it. This seems like it would devalue the rating. Why do they do this? I guess it gets a lot of 5 star ratings, but wouldn’t it be better to get reviews for the actual product as determined by user experience?

I recognize, however, that its presentation may have caused confusion, for which I sincerely apologize. I want to clarify that the pop-up was indeed designed to be easily dismissed by either swiping down on the sheet (for iOS 15 and earlier) or tapping anywhere above the sheet (for iOS 16+). The app asked for a review when I completed on-boarding. Look, I REALLY like to review software, but first I want to actually use it.
I received a free copy through AppAdvice and have wanted to get an independent Authenticator. When this popped up I grabbed it right away.
I’m definitely behind on tech and honestly don’t know what I’m doing here, but it looks like they provide clear instructions.
Once I’ve actually used Authenticator for a wile, I’ll be back to update this short novel I’ve already written about sn app I haven’t actually used. 👀💀🤷🏻♀️😂Show lessshelbeeray
