As always these games slap
Now a idea. One of these games but set in Japan between 1400-1700 ending during the boshin wars. I think it would work perfectly for this game style.
Now a honest review. The gameplay is quite long compared to your other titles. And casualties feel brutal at higher tech levels as you lose 4 thousand troops taking a city with a garrison of 2 thousand well using siege engines.
But it is good and decently historically accurate for a indie game. Which for me is a big selling point.
The fortification system is different. But it is executed smartly. As in all the other games you could just turn your border provinces into fortresses and never have to worry about any invasions. I personally quite like this change.
Monastery’s not being a tile resource is great as it allows you to play taller. The economy also incentivize you to be strategic as tiles are much smaller then other games.
My honest review being 4.7 stars. As the ransoming seems to break sometimes and they just refuse for up to ten turns to return a captured leader.
