Only negatives…
The app offers nothing unique and because it’s tethered to Instagram and Facebook, suddenly those are inundated with strangers asking to become “friends”. The worst of it is that there’s literally no exit; NO means of withdrawing one’s name and any information attached to it. I’m wondering if that also applies now to IG and FB, since Zuckerberg, in my opinion, is desperate to claim as many followers as possible in an effort to attract more advertisers. 🔅fyi, literally can’t sign out without leaving at least a one star rating, so that’s what you’ll see. I want OUT!!!
…. I appreciate finally having my hacked account with photos returned after two years, but still wish to be freed from Threads, while remaining connected to Facebook and Instagram.

Selling up
I love reading the thoughts of people from across the globe. So many similar to our lifestyle
Found ceillys on threads.
“I had been feeling stuck in my music taste and was looking for something fresh when I joined the Threads app. I started following a few music influencers and kept an eye on what they were sharing. One day, someone posted a track from Ceillyss, describing her as ‘a hidden gem’ and ‘the voice of the next wave of indie pop.’ I was immediately intrigued, clicked the link, and found myself completely captivated by her music. Her style blends electronic beats with emotional depth, and I instantly felt connected to her sound. Without the Threads app’s real-time posts and recommendations, I might never have come across her music, which ended up changing the way I view contemporary music and even inspired my own creative journey. It’s crazy how one post can make such an impact!”

Gentle Threads
I have found Threads to be a gentle haven in the social media world. On the whole the algorithms feed content and followers with similar interests and values to my own which in my case is a love of nature and wildlife. Any content I am not interested in, for example someone stealing other people’s content and passing it off as their own, I mark as ‘not interested’ and that calibre of posting disappears. Thank you to everyone who works for this platform and to those who are sharing such beautiful posts. I hope this trend remains sustainable :)

Alt text for images not completely displaying
Firstly I want to say this app is one of my favourites, I spend a lot of time on threads and love creating content for the app.
However there is only one problem I have, and it is with alt text for images. Alt text can be up to 1000 characters long, but when using that amount of characters, the window displaying alt text will not show the whole quantity of text, nor is there a way to scroll through the text in that window (you have to pull the window up to show all the characters and hold you finger there in order to read it). I’m sure barely anyone has alt text turned on, let alone anyone actually using the full 1000 characters available to them, however this is the only “technical error” holding me back from 5 stars.

I like Threads…
Been interested in this app for awhile was hesitant in getting it…asking myself do I really need another app on my phone or better yet in my life? I’m a newbie and so far I like it. I don’t have to join a group or follow anyone right now…not that I have anything against either. I like having the freedom to comment or not on posts that pique my interests…not being denied, declined or deleted because “the powers that be” don’t agree with my opinion…we can kindly disagree but do not censor me…I have been given the pleasure, privilege…
the right to speak my mind because thousands who lived before me have fought & died so that I can use my voice ( I do so mostly in a positive way). Well, I think I can stop here…I‘be given my two-cents worth. Thanx for the opportunity.

Powerful platform but not overwhelming
App is easy to use and has a slick design. While most social sites, including Meta’s other subs, have continued to crowd platforms with bells and whistles that are “good to have” but “not needed”
- threads has kept things functional while also adding certain beta features in background that seem to be promising (fediverse). Enabling user to not be restricted is right move imo. The character limit per thread window seems to not sit well with others but I understand that’s likely limited due to vertical screen real estate available. 3.5-4 stars bc despite loving the platform it’s still it’s not competitive to my knowledge on a payout structure. This should be available to every user. I don’t even have the option to monetize and my follower base is close to 50,000 users across meta companies.
Threads would be one of my top three platforms currently if they :
1) make profit share structure competitive; and
2) make path to becoming eligible understandable (in layman’s terms and not buried in layers of docs - we’re not attorneys)
Overall good experience thus far besides being banned and Threads removing my ability to like or comment for a few days. I was sent a notification that my account had been compromised when it had not been. A few other things but running out of time. Okay until next time.

Good app but could be better
It’s an overall good app. I do have a little suggestion. When you go on someone’s profile, it gives you 3 categories. Threads, replies and Reposts. Now on the Threads section, if they post multiple pics you have to swipe left to view the rest of the pictures BUT if you swipe a little bit to much you go to the replies section of their profile.. i don’t know when there pictures ends sometimes I think there’s more so I swipe a little and I’m in the replies section of their profile. When I swipe back to the Threads section it brings me ALL the way back up. I have to slowly swipe left to see someone’s pictures or else it goes wrong. Is there anyway we can maybe click on the individual tabs instead of swiping left since swiping left is being used to view pics and we get “punished” for swiping the tiniest amount to the left. Thank you if you read this!

$$$
My eyes see this as a way out of the matrix even though I have $0 right now I can see everyone WINNING $$$ financially which gives me hope 🥹🙏
Enjoying the simplicity
So far I enjoy the simplicity of the app, which I understand most apps start off this way but I urge the developers to not start adding unnecessary features that make it feel and look like what Facebook, Instagram and Twitter has become. There are ads everywhere, there’s content I just do not care to see which causes me to miss the content of the people I actually follow or want to see. Also never Get rid of the free form writing features; tab or return button allowing us to create space between paragraphs, as well as the capability to write longer paragraphs. Simple and clean is the way to go in my opinion, I love to write and I love to read. I don’t mind a few videos or pictures here and there but I believe the main focus on threads should more text based content.
