  • Kinda basic

Not impressed for the annual amount charged. All of the info is available at no charge elsewhere.
  • Won’t let you past the paywall

I downloaded this app, but now I am going to delete it because it will not even let me see the app without agreeing to pay weekly or monthly. Ostensibly I could agree to that and then turn it off within the trial period, but if you expect to see anything without having to find and turn off a subscription, you are out of luck. Even the big button that says “Continue for $0” requires you to choose which subscription will automatically charge you at the end of the “free” trial. App producers should have the integrity to give full pricing information and not force people to accept a “free” trial than requires a turn off. I doubt there is even any kind of “free” (with advertising) service available on this app. Apple should require this integrity in their rules, but it seems this is the way of the world right now. (Yes I saw the “inn app purchases” information.

  • Lame free content

There are plenty of as good or better weather apps that you don’t have to pay for to get storm tracking info. Why pay for something that has plenty of non-paying options from your local news app to the standard Apple weather app.

Hello Jefe, please email your list of favorite free weather app options and their free features to ContactUs@SkaiWeather.com. Skai's free mode is currently free of advertising. A goal of Skai Premium is to provide a more full-featured weather app than Apple Weather. Doing so requires us to access commercial data sources that aren't free. Thank you for your feedback and understanding! -Skai

  • There are better weather apps

Find the radar map graphics not very clear and weather reporting not very accurate by location.

    Developer Response

Hello Sirmichaelwpb, if you don't mind sharing the location you reference, please email it to ContactUs@SkaiWeather.com with a description of the weather conditions you observed at a time of day when you felt that the reporting was not very accurate. Thank you! -Skai

  • Not accurate

I have had this app because I love the layout and the forecast, I don’t have the paid version of the app, but it has not been accurate 75%
Of the time, especially with rain and storms.

  • Not readable

Phones are too small, the screen is locked so you cannot use a screen reader… Not even close to being usable for people, but less than perfect eyesight

  • Little Disappointed

The radar is pretty good but I can say that for most all weather apps. The problem I have with this one is on the radar “layer” starts with what happened 45 min ago and counts 5 min. intervals to current time, that’s it! In order to see future direction of the storm is to change the layer to which gives a long timeline view forward and doesn’t give any visual or feel like it’s a continuation from the current state of weather so, by the time your done looking at that, you’ve now forgotten where you left off on the current timeline and then have to switch back to the other layer. Just put the timeline at the bottom and give an option to move it! maybe a dropdown box on the main user interface, heck I don’t know. I have no clue what the point is for having a Basic vs Detailed precipitation layer. All of the most controls on the main screen without having to switch layers. I’m no app creator and I’m sure the people who write the software are much smarter in ways that I am not, but common sense seems to be on the forefront of what’s missing in all apps these days. Living in Oklahoma all my life I’d say I’m pretty familiar with what could be useful for me in a weather app. I would imagine it’s pretty mutual across the board. I paid for the subscription and the free apps available are much better and will be going back to. Ya’ll have a good’n now.

Hello Okiesmokes guy, we appreciate your detailed and constructive feedback, and hope that we can meet more of your needs in the future. The Basic Precipitation Map Layer uses more economical data, as it is available in the free mode of Skai. The (more) Detailed Precipitation Map Layer is exclusive to Skai Premium. If you would like to share more feedback, please email ContactUs@SkaiWeather.com. Thank you! -Skai
