It exists! But beware!

It exists! You can spend money in it. Lightning tracking is fairly poor and doesn’t report distances.
YOU MAY BE LOCKED INTO YOUR REGISTRATION LOCATION.
I relied on this tool to report things in my local area and gave it unfettered access to my location data. It still pinpoints and warns me about the location I first registered in, regardless of settings. I’ve tried to work with support for over 3 months and I still don’t have resolution.

The worst part is I miss fog and major aviation weather advisories of locations I visit, despite sharing location data and being there for multiple days.

All is well now

The app after 3 days will not open. Click on it and nothing happens. It has to be deleted and reinstalled. Th info in the app would be great although it will not load. Just a black screen. It's on beta 2 a fails miserably. If it's fixed and works I would purchase it. The developer responded personally and explained new version would correct issue. I installed it and can now enjoy all the program offers. Kudos for a quick,reply also.

Less than basic weather app

Easily the worst weather app I’ve had, consistently incorrect data especially considering this was used during hurricane Helene and Milton from Sarasota, FL. When I had 102mph winds pulling at my windows the app read as a mild 12mph??

Deceiving subscription prices

I purchased SKIA (at the time monthly) after deciding the weather app I loved most was too expensive. It’s a decent app. I wouldn’t have complaints. Though not as good as the one I loved. I accidentally learned that my once $4.99/month subscription was suddenly being charged $4.99 per week!! Now, when I look at app prices there isn’t even an option for $4.99/month, by my subscription history proves otherwise! I would and will gladly pay for an APP with straightforward pricing. I am so sick of apps with multiple options….many of which “appear” to be the same price listed twice. I can’t trust SKIA now. Unfortunate.

Hello, once subscribed, we do not change billing time periods. The App Store will also notify you via email by default in the event of any such changes. You can view all available Skai Premium subscription plans at account.apple.com > Subscriptions > Skai > See All Plans. Please email ContactUs@SkaiWeather.com if you would like additional assistance.

Watch out

They will continue to charge you long after your free trial. I cancelled so I shouldn’t have had any charges but when I saw one go through I let it go, as I’m sure this is what they count on in this busy world. Then again and again and again after I CLEARLY cancelled. I had to contact Apple and apply for a refund. What an expensive time consuming ordeal. Don’t do it. Too many free apps just as good

For future reference, free trials and subscriptions can be easily managed from the iPhone associated with the Apple ID that initiated it at support.apple.com/billing. -Skai

Forcing a subscription to track an emergency should be criminal

Seriously, shame on yall. I get trying to make money as an app dev myself but man where’s the conscience in the tech world. If I have to use another service to track a life threatening storm, I just will use that one exclusively like come on. There are plenty of features that arn’t states of emergencies that can be monetized. Get creative

Hurricane Tracking

This should be free at this time for the simple reason the people who are in the area of the Hurricane should get it completely free in order too stay alive plan & simple we already give everything to these illegals as it is but as a American we are the illegal's now on account of that stupid JOE BIDEN opening the border too everyone and we have not 1 piece of Documentation on none of them whatsoever an there lies the problem
