This “game” is a joke, this never should have made it past the ideas stage.
Every facet of this project reeks of greed, incompetence and a complete lack of understanding of the series.
This has easily killed the series reboot, Konami can’t help but constantly shoot themselves in the foot with the sheer greed and contempt for their customers that they constantly display.
I can’t imagine the damage this has done to the Silent Hill IP in terms of those who have had their first exposure to the series via this.

I’m a huge Silent Hill fan and I signed up to be notified when this dropped, something I’ve never done before. I’ve been trying since the game was released to *just get the terms & conditions to load,* much less actually get the app to function. Today, a week after release, they finally did load, and I find I have to agree to give the company the right to use my name and image for free in perpetuity to use the app. What a crock, not happening.
Deleted without ever even being able to “play,” but on the upside, every single thing I’ve heard about this has been **profoundly** negative and that it isn’t even a game, so at least I know I’m not missing out.Show lessEarth Versus Soup

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, we only potentially use your username and the virtual character (aka avatar) that you create as they could be featured as a cameo in the official show. You do not have to use your real name or create an avatar that looks like you. You do not need to enter cameo contests as those are completely voluntary. We also are continuing to work on stability improvements and have released several fixes that should improve the experience. Edit: Upping it to a 3 star rating, as devs have been very transparent and quick to work on the technical issues/address feedback. I still think the story is pretty nonsensical so far, but we are still pretty early in this, so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. I think we’re still on the first episode as of writing this, so maybe it’s just the pacing being slower than what I’m used. I appreciate the experimental design even if it hasn’t quite sold me yet.
Original review: UI is atrocious, first live show was really buggy. It’s unclear when you’re supposed to vote because the voting pops up for three seconds (not even enough time to read everything) then disappears. Daily “puzzles” are either poorly explained or just don’t make any sense. Tap all over your screen to find everything then brute force the rest, because there’s no accompanying explanation. Guess you gotta pay for hints or something. Story seems outright bad so far. Jumps all over the place constantly. Voice acting is awful. Someone in chat asked, “Did AI write this?” and I couldn’t stop thinking about that through the whole first episode. Just a really awful first experience all around. Phone was burning up by the end of the show and lost like 20% battery. Kind of weird if it’s just playing a video. I don’t understand how you overcomplicate and mess up such a simple concept. We’ve made some improvements, but it is still early days and we continue to work tirelessly on making your experience better. On the story side, I’d welcome any specific feedback and do agree that we are only about 45 mins of total story content in and still establishing some of the characters and story lines as well as introducing more based on the audience’s choices. I really wanted to give this a chance. However, it appears the developer has admitted when you purchase Influence Points basically your decisions don’t matter. It’s very clear when you play the game the choices were decided from the beginning, and thus no choices are actually being made by players. This is unfortunate that they decided to bring out as the first Silent Hill media in 10 years. It’s negative reception is really hurting the brand preception online.Show lessMister Jevne

Truly appreciate your review and feedback. We are glad you think the concept is cool and we are listening and working on making the experience better everyday. I did want to clarify that your choices DO matter, the point we were trying to make is that not one person can buy their way into making the choice they want because we have so much activity from the community and we intentionally make IP Packs small. The whole entire community matters and the more you and the rest of the community decide on a particular outcome, the more it helps us see numbers in the millions for choices which keeps the system fair. Not every decision you choose will always play out depending on what the audience decides, but plenty of them will. It is important to keep deciding actively because it will help us maintain a fair and balanced experience for everyone.Can we vote to jettison this out of the canon?
Not only is this the worst Silent Hill content I’ve ever seen, and one of the worst pieces of media I’ve ever experienced, but the app is terrible as well. The UI is ugly as sin, everything takes up too much room, the “puzzles” are worse then the bottom of the barrel old school point and click adventure games, and the CEO has so many people around him huffing his farts and saying it smells like daises to realize or care. Save your time (and your money, dear God especially your money), and do anything else instead. Eating glass would be a more enjoyable experience.Show lessTeas4250

I thought I’d give this a chance because I had some curiosity but awful the resolution couldn’t focus, constant lagging, and video was cutting out. It was so unwatchable I had to find a YouTuber who was streaming it live to watch. I’m not even going to get into the dialogue and acting because it was so terrible I ended just laughing. If you came here because you miss you some Silent Hill you’re only going to be disappointed this cheep freemium interaction and a poor attempt to jumpstart a beloved franchise that Konami ruined.Show lessGalaxy_Mutt

This is not silent hill. I really wanted to give this game a chance because i love the franchise, but unfortunately it wasn't anything worthwhile. A battle pass system, weird and awkward voice acting, waiting DAYS to see if a choice was made. the only fun thing about this was the quick time events, but if people aren't actively engaged with the stream (i.e typing in chat, or actually paying attention) the community "fails" them because of all the inactive people. so it's just a waste of time all around. really sad, this franchise deserves so much better but this is what we get instead.Show lessEllieTheQueen

Thank you for your review. We are listening and appreciate your feedback in order to make this the best experience possible. We set out to make an interactive series and to do something entirely different from past SILENT HILL releases. We wanted to expand the universe into new places, with new characters, and monsters. We are working on several improvements including the interactive Endure Sequences you enjoyed. The community has passed more sequences as of late, we’ve decreased the difficulty, we should see some additional bug fixes and a variety of these scenes implemented to the app soon.
