  • Awesome when it works, but not often

    When you spend $250 on something and the only way to control it is via an app, then Homedics best get their act together.

    Have had this less than 2 weeks. Worked ok for about 9 days, but today when I launched the app it just won’t come up. Have tried on different devices. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Installed on a new device. Tried to factory reset the device itself per the FAQ on the Homedics site. Nothing has worked.

    Now I have a device that won’t even play the clean/setup pattern. Will sometimes turn the LED lights on, but pretty much doesn’t respond.

    Take heed of all these 1 star reviews. They are absolutely true. Just does not seem like they are ready for prime time. I sent an email in to support, so if they are able to get it to work I’ll amend this review. But as it stands right now I will more than likely be returning this.

  • Really cool product, bad app

    I really love this sandscape, but unfortunately I have to agree with others about the app. The color changing does not work to choose a color unless I have it set so the color is constantly changing. I would like to be able to pick one color and stick with it. Also the brightness slider does not work at all, it’s either 0 or 100%. I really hope the post Christmas onslaught of reviews inspires them to hire someone to fix the app so we can all get the full use of our products. I’m noticing all the bad reviews are recent so I’m hoping the issues are just due to a buggy update and will be waiting patiently for a new update/patch and then I’ll change my rating

  • App doesn’t work half the time

    This app is terrible. I downloaded it yesterday and it worked fine, however today whenever I tried to change the pattern it said it wasn’t connected. I deleted the app and tried to get it to work and now it won’t even load the home page, I can only see the settings page. I really was looking forward to using the drift but this app doesn’t allow me to use my drift at all. Also the LED light doesn’t even work on the drift.

  • REALLY want to like this

    I got this for Christmas and was super excited as I have been considering purchasing for quite some time. After getting it all set up I ha r found the app to be SERIOUSLY lacking in performance. Many times it doesn’t perform the pattern selected. Also, any patterns that I’ve favorited will not play from the favorites list. I have to back out to the main screen and then search the name to be able to select it and play it. The color option is now completely inoperable for some reason and the dimming doesn’t dim at all. It either turns the light off completely or sets it to 100%. There is no in between. Frequently, the app simply freezes all together and I must close and reopen the app to get it unfrozen.

    Honestly, amazingly cool product, but when the product relies on the app and the app is executed so poorly it makes the whole experience very, very bad. Unfortunate for a product that costs in excess of $250.

    The app needs to be fixed immediately to recover any usefulness Drift has.

  • Miserable. Where in the support?!

    Finally bought a small Drift after wanting one for a long time.
    The app is awful. Is it being supported? It doesn’t feel like it …
    I have to delete and re-install every other day on a good week. It doesn’t respond, doesn’t load into the main screen, or doesn’t work. Sometimes changing the color or sound works, but not the actual drawing/marble.

    Absolutely pointless for a $300+ product. Lovely paperweight. Except it’s not, since I could fill a white bowl with white sand, and heck, even add an LED light strip, at FiveBelow

  • Neither drift app works

    The apps are absolute garbage!!! App let's me get to the wifi setup than freezes and says bind failed!!!!! I also have the 21inch drift and the app fpr that one is also awful 😖 I was hoping this would be better but it's not!!! Theu are amazing when you can get them to connect but it's to stressful and takes hrs sometimes. I'm filling a complaint with the BBB and also possibly a class action suit because with out the app the device is worthless. Until you see better reviews on the app I wouldn’t waste your time or especially your money because these aren’t cheap!

    Color changing works now but there is no power button in this app for the device. Also sometimes the color glitches and flashes and the app will not work to correct the color issue, just have to unplug.
