    I had the smart tag app and it worked perfectly the first couple of days however I started having issues with it never loading anything up. I reached out to the customer service email and they were very patient and helpful and they resolved my issue.

  • App not working!!

    Issues literally arose literally week 2 of school starting. I randomly get notifications of the bus arriving but in the app it tells me I have nothing in my notification inbox. So if I click the notification in my banner it’s lost in space bc my notifications are always empty, so forget seeing the bus on GPS, which hasn’t loaded for weeks anyway. Secondly, in the student area, it says “something went wrong, please try again later.” No matter how later it is, it has yet to work. I rely on this application for assistance and peace of mind and it falls short in both areas. It’s upsetting because I am forced to have the application because the website prompts us now, so there is no way around the frustration. Deleting the app and reinstalling leads me down the same road. I just want it fixed please!!

  • Add bus tracking back to the app

    I’m so tired of getting these notifications late. My app is updated and today I got a notification stating the bus was 5 minutes away. I got to the bus stop and got a call from the bus barn and they said my son was going to be taken back to transportation office because i was not there to get him. I work from home and so I make sure my students have something to do so I can get to the bus stop in time to get my child. This is so frustrating because now I have to find someone to go pick my child up because I can’t leave work and pick him up on top of that my car is broken down. Last year this was never a problem because I would get a notification 15-20 minutes before the bus got here and I would track the bus location on the map and be there to get him. PUT THE MAP BACK UP!!! I’m tired of this!! And it stresses me out that I have to go through all of this to get my 5year old off the bus

  • Everything!

    This app is really terrible! You can’t see the map of where the bus is located when last school year you could which was great. When you try to refresh the app it’s always saying “something went wrong” it’s forever always giving the wrong information. I mean I’m better off without this app because you never know anything. And it’s frustrating because i have a 6 year old and i need to know everything once on and off the bus and how close and far the bus is. I wish i could no stars.. yall have to do better because this truly isn’t “smart.”

Certain features are turned on at the discretion of the school district. When the driver signs into the route, the personal time parameters and notification settings may impact when the map is available. Please contact your district transportatio department or us for individual assistance at support@smart-tag.net.
  • Does not work

    After yesterday’s update it’s not showing when the bus leaves the bus barn and is in route to the house. Would have missed the bus if I hadn’t looked out the window. Unlike the web based version from last year that actually worked this one does not. The app is garbage. It stops showing the bus location when it is about 3 blocks away from me. Having to stand outside in the rain so we don’t miss it. Same thing happens in the afternoon when it’s coming from the school. CCISD says it’s a developer issue. The app developer says it’s a school district issue. Someone needs to fix this. Our tax dollars are paying for it and it’s not working as expected.

  • View Map does not always show

    I absolutely do not like having to use this app. I wish we could go back to just seeing the actual map. If I look at the view map it shows the bus but if I go out of the app and try to go back in, it will not let me view map again for a while. And sometimes when viewing the map it goes off and yet again have to wait too long to see the map again. Please fix this!

Based on feedback from school districts nationwide and for the safety of students and drivers, the live map location of the bus will only be available from the time you receive the SMART Alert arrival notification (default 20 mins) up to the time the bus leaves your home stop. Please update your App to the latest version (currently 1.3.9) when you see an option. If you continue to experience issues, contact us at support@smart-tag.net.
  • App issues

    Love the idea of this app. And loved it the first couple days it would work. I have experienced the same issue as the other comment, the approximation time is not completely accurate as mine to has missed the bus by the bus being earlier then specified. But that part was ok. I didn’t mind.
    Now it seems though, for 3 days I have not been able to get my app to work. I have removed it deleted it closed it out turned off my phone and back on disconnected my wifi and back on I have disconnected my cellular connection and yesterday I was still getting the text alerts but not able to use the app, I have now faced nothing being loaded on the app, and it just says try later and try again later and I have. It does not even give me the option to log into my account, I do not even receive the text alerts.

  • Turn the map back on!!!

    I love all the new features but turn the map back on to track the bus!! App glitches. I was watching the bus and it didn’t move for a while I started walking to the stop to get my PREK child off and the bus was pulling up. I had to RUN to the stop and yes she was early. Then the next morning I got a notification TWENTY minutes early saying “Bus ***** will be arriving anytime now” as it came through I tapped it and it said you are viewing an old notification so I took him to school. Talked to some neighbors later that said the bus did come but twenty minutes late! My other son the bus drives down the street across from us then turns around because we live on a major road. Almost daily when she drives by it shows she already passed our stop and that’s a 15-20 minute difference so if I’m not staring at the map I’m not sure how long ago she passed. I think the app is nice but give back the map so we can see for ourselves. I have it set for the bus being 20 min away and I get the notification for my youngest every single morning 6 8 or 9 minutes away!!

  • Does not work

    Unlike the web based version from last year that actually worked this one does not. The app is garbage. It does not send an alert when the bus is in route from the bus barn to the bus stop in the morning. Once on the bus it does not track the bus location to school as it’s supposed to. In the afternoon it doesn’t show the bus from the school to home. Almost missed it twice this week. CCISD says it’s a developer issue. The app developer says it’s a school district issue. Someone needs to fix this. Our tax dollars are paying for it and it’s not working as expected.
  • Nothing Smart about it.

    App is glitchy. Cannot load my kid’s info, nothing pops up when I open so I can’t even change the pickups. Gives me the circle of death. I’ve tried restarting the app and my phone. I’ve deleted the app and re-downloaded it. Nothing. It’s a terrible app and I wish my child’s school didn’t use this. Waste of time. Emailing the school officials is a lot faster when it comes to changing pickups and it’s probably faster and better at this point.

    I have screen shots of the app being blank on my end. My ex has downloaded the app and it works fine for her. Maybe the app doesn’t allow two devices to use it at the same time but we’ve ruled that out. I asked her to log out and I logged in and it’s the same. Screen is blank on my end and no info pops up.
