NO ability to enter blood glucose readings

got this to help monitor my blood glucose, says it helps monitor it but, it does so based on foods’ Glycemic Index, which may be great for your regular people but, not so great for those of us close to being or being pre-diabetics.. For example it said a large banana would have a low impact on my BG, maybe for some but for me; 2 hrs after eating it with protein (peanut butter), my BG was 141 and 4 hrs later was 125.. Just no way this app can be accurate at predicting your blood glucose impact with foods when it does NOT allow you to enter what your blood glucose readings are after eating certain foods when their prediction is off.. if it allowed you to enter your 90mins after eating blood glucose reading when first eating a new food you log, maybe then it could actually help predict how a food/meal will impact your blood glucose…until then, this app is not worth paying for to ‘me’, maybe after it includes us logging our BG too, i will pay for it.. 4 stars though for it is an easy to use app and helpful in other areas..

Not free $6.99 month

Didn’t use the app, but after downloading and setting up found out it isn’t free… cost $6.99 a month

So far so good ❤️

Won’t fit on screen

I was hoping that this would be the app that could help me control my weight and count carbs. Unfortunately the app is not designed to fit properly in my iPhone screen. You can’t read all the words because they are cut off on the sides. When you turn your screen it doesn’t rotate the app so you can see the side words. It’s beyond frustrating. I don’t recommend it unless they fix the app.

Update: Thank you

Updating my review:
Thank you for your quick turnaround in solving bugs.
The app works perfectly now

Where’s the beef

I can’t even search for basic food without paying LOL

Great app

Too bad after using the app for a week they started FREEMIUM . Now it’s a pay to use
This is the only app I found that scans your food and gives a rough estimate of what it is.
It’s great for knowing what impact it’s going to have on my blood sugar before eating

Great concept….but I will have to delete

Just found this, loves how it helps me determine the carbs in food for my diabetes insulin pump data.

Now it will be behind an expensive paywall so I will have to delete.

Sad that profits are more important than providing a much needed health service. It would be 5 stars without this change.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. To confirm, the app's functionality will remain free for all users. We will simply be adding a paid subscription for people who would like to access an upgraded feature set. But you can continue getting glucose insights for free as before if you do not wish to upgrade.

A good helper

Although it misidentifies some items and the search is a bit whacky I find this tool useful. Each update shows improvement. Would like to see the font size fit the screen better. Can’t see the details often because I need to use larger text due to low vision.

Promising

Has most of the features I want but it has a serious issue. When creating a recipe, the quantity and unit of some ingredients do not save and therefore the recipe provides wildly inaccurate numbers. For example, one recipe had 6589 calories for one serving, but totalling the calories of each ingredient (before saving) resulted in 1022. Tried to correct the quantity and unit of the problematic ingredients but they never save. I'm guessing this may also be a problem for some non-recipe items.
