1.1

March 9, 2024

Photoscope 1.1 adds the top requested feature: keeping more than one photo of a series, and more. Continue providing feedback, this helps us prioritize future features. In addition, please continue submitting ratings and reviews on the App Store, to enable more users to find the app. • You can now keep more than just the pick of a series or burst. Tap the ••• button next to Delete Discarded Photos for the new option Delete some Photos… • In case none of the photos of a series warrants keeping, there’s the new option to delete the entire series, too. • The ••• button on the pick and candidate while picking allows you to skip a photo. This causes it not to be deleted later. Use it on a photo that doesn’t belong to a series, or when you already know that you want to keep that photo in addition to the pick. • The thumbnail on the first screen now always shows the initial pick. • Massive performance improvements when scrolling. • Many smaller changes and improvements you may or may not notice.

1.0.3

February 13, 2024

This release restores the ability to delete discarded photos from Bursts. An additional confirmation provides further information. Please note that Photoscope has to write the Pick out to a new photo, which could cause very minimal changes to the photo.

1.0.2

February 9, 2024

We have identified an issue where deleting discarded items from a burst sometimes causes all photos of that burst to be deleted. For now, deleting photos from bursts has been disabled, until we can offer a proper solution. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Price History of Photoscope

Description of Photoscope

You take several photos of that scene, hoping to have the ONE. Find the best pick of a series or burst and clean up your library. We end up with hundreds or even thousands of nearly duplicate photos, where having a small subset of those would be so much better. Better for you, and better for the size of your photo library. Photoscope does 3 things for you: 1. Surface your photo series and bursts in a familiar interface. 2. Guide you through the quickest process possible to find a single pick for a series. 3. Let you then share or favorite that pick, and let you delete all the discarded photos from that series. Sit back and go down memory lane. And come back with your favorite memories and more storage!

Reviews of Photoscope

  • Almost perfect

    It’s delightfully great for culling.

Automatically detects clusters of photos, and lets you select the best of the bunch.

But what if you want to keep more than one? Simple, just skip.

Unfortunately, skip doesn’t have a speedy button at the bottom. It’s hidden under the triple dots. And that’s the thing that would bump this to five stars: embrace a flag-skip-reject cull.
  • Just needs ignore

Thanks for the quick fixes! After ignore stack is added I’ll go up to 5.
