  • Terrible at OPML Imports

If you turn off the other categories and just want your OPML to get the Bulletin treatment, it doesn’t display anything. Not worth paying for something that can’t do its most basic tasks.

Hi there, You can view the imported feeds in the imported section, or long-press the feeds to display Context Menu options to move them to other categories from the manage section within the app. Hope this helps! Thanks, Shihab
  • Great App best RSS reader

Wonderful app that works across all devices. Lets you import your own feeds via OPML. Just needs a way to make text larger for those of us with older eyes.

Hi there, Thank you for the very kind and constructive feedback! Will be taking this onboard. Thanks, Shihab
  • Poor UI on iPad

I continually do not understand why RSS apps don’t use the full iPad screen in portrait orientation for reading articles. It should at least be an option to hide the sidebar. This issue alone makes it a hard pass from me.

This app looks good at first, but after just a few minutes you realize how restrictive it is. It doesn’t allow you to hide categories and you can’t customize feeds beyond hiding them. It also doesn’t allow adding any feeds either as far as I can tell.

And a personal nitpick of mine: I much prefer opening articles in Safari Reader view by default. It's a better UX in my opinion and provides consistency across the OS. It should at least be offered as option as some other apps do.

Hi there, Thank you for the constructive feedback and suggestions. I will take these onboard and reimagine the portrait layout for iPad to make better use of space. You can hide categories via the manage section, and you can hide or remove feeds from there too via long-press Context Menus. You can also add feeds by pasting URLs into the manage section there, or from the Share Extension via Safari and across your device. There's also a settings option to open articles in Safari reader mode directly when tapping to view them. Hope this helps! Thanks, Shihab
  • Really great v1; tons of potential

Love that this is truly a universal app, even on tvOS. That being said, the tvOS version is pretty weak and close to non-functional.

Still worth four stars and went ahead and bought the life-long option; consider it an investment into future development. 😉

Hi there, Thank you for the very kind and constructive feedback. I will be improving the tvOS app with a lot of the excellent capabilities from the other platforms very soon! Thank you, Shihab
  • Needs better customization of sources

It’s like if a music app only had 10 selected bands and no easy way to make your own playlists. The presentation is pleasant so hopefully the app will expand its capabilities.

    Developer Response

Hi there, Thank you for the constructive feedback. You can now add your own feeds via the manage section by entering site URLs, you can also hide or remove existing starter feeds (which are great if you don't want to be paralysed with decision fatigue from the get-go). There's also a great new Share Extension to add feeds from Safari and elsewhere across your device, and the feeds can be moved around via the manage section's Context Menus. Hope this helps! Thank you, Shihab
  • Duplicate Stories

It would be nice to eliminate stories with the same subject / context from each feed — otherwise it’s a great app!

    Developer Response

Hi there, Thank you for the kind and constructive feedback. I have taken this onboard and recent updates have aimed to reduce duplicates. Thank you, Shihab
  • Good effort but falls so short…

Tile per story consumes so much space, that even on the smallest setting you are only ever able to see 3 maybe four headlines at a time, so be prepared for tons of scrolling.

Font sizes also too large, and no way to just show headlines without parts of the article.

    No way to search

Duplicates and similar topics continue to expand feed. Thought this was about smarts, so should be seeing d duplicates, and similar topics would be combined?

Smart off not RSS readers need to be light mobile and easy to scan lots of headlines quickly, which bulletin does not support.

Hi there, Thank you for the constructive feedback. I have taken this onboard and made steady improvements over the course of the past few updates. There are now even smaller condensed card sizes which display articles as a list. Duplicates have been resolved, with similar topics reduced in the 'For You' section. Hope this helps! Thank you, Shihab
  • I’m speechless

This is the news best app I’ve ever used! Really good job

Hi there, Thank you so much for the incredibly kind and generous feedback. It means the world! Thank you, Shihab
  • ok first try

meh first impression… lots of loading spinners, no ability to search and add by site name or URL (only by RSS URL), persistent header wasted where it could show what category or source you’re viewing, odd list of default sources, no way to reorder or prioritize categories or sites, no thumbnail images.

    Developer Response

Hi there, Thank you for the constructive feedback. I have taken this onboard and made steady improvements over the course of the past few updates. Loading will now happen quicker. You can now also add RSS feeds to the app with just the site URL, or even share from Safari itself using the new Share Extension! Default sources can be hidden and removed, and thumbnails should show up for all articles, with further options for views with and without thumbnails. Hope this helps! Thank you, Shihab
