Did you allow access to location information at the initial launch of the app? Otherwise the app will not work. Any app that uses your iPhone's location is the same.Doesn’t work

Free version doesn't let you search by address. I don't think either version lets you search by a place name.Rooothio

Please understand that the free version may have limited functionality to some extent. In the full version, you can search by place name.Operations
