It’s Shogun Showdown (Steam) and a pretty decent version, at that. I’ve played a ton of Shogun Showdown and can say Sword Sonata definitely scratches the same itch. I will say that Sword Sonata is quite a bit harder as it’s not as generous with the upgrades. But challenge is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s definitely making me play more careful. But I have run into scenarios where it’s impossible to avoid a hit, just due to where the enemy spawns in / my meagrely powered-up weapons. This is where the balance feels a bit off. I hope the developer can add info pop-ups for inventory items, as well as enemy attacks. Right now, it’s impossible to know what is in your inventory unless you remember what the symbol stands for. Again, I suppose you can just look at it as another layer of challenge. But I’d prefer to have access to more info than less, before I commit to a turn. Also I noticed a bug - when you sell a skull for 40 coins the screen goes black. You have to restart the game in order to continue.
