Terrible app
My experience with this app this week epitomizes the pathetic service that this app offers. Here we are in America with a tournament in Cincinnati. Coco has lost early in both her matches previous to this tournament. So guess whose game wasn’t available this week in America for our outstanding, new young player? You got it. it was Coco. I searched and searched trying to find her. Also, the Alcarez match in which he lost was not shown so I missed his racket tantrum! I’ve been watching tennis for so many years and this app is almost making me go back to spectrum, which I’ll never do. Another miffed reviewer hopes that someone else will take on the possibility of a decent tennis app. I’m all for it! as far as this app is concerned, I’m out of here in January on my time is up!

“Coverage of all matches”
My aunt bought this subscription back in April and we just now started having issues with the Mubadala Citi D.C Open. Women’s singles is just about the only tennis I REALLY really want to watch, and the tennis channel is literally providing all of the matches BUT women’s singles. The women’s singles matches are offered on replay but aren’t offered when they’re live. Nobody wants to watch a replay of a match they want to watch it as it’s happening. Also, just curious why are Wimbledon and the Olympics not offered? Those are two of the most exciting tennis events ever! If this doesn’t get fixed, then the whole 2 months of the U.S swing during August and September will just be a waste of a subscription. Fix. It.

Updates Made a World of Difference
They rolled out much needed updates a couple of weeks ago, which has drastically improved the app on so many fronts.
Before the updates, I agree with all of the negative feedback and would have given the app a 1-star rating. I have had the app several years (because it’s too hard to find WTA matches without it), and I’m glad they finally listened to users. It is a way better user experience now—completely changed layout, etc.
Key improvements:
Way less buffering.
You can rewind and fast forward during live matches.
Matches are available to watch on Replay pretty soon after the match ends.
Navigation for Live & Upcoming matches is much improved and easier to find matches that are actually playing.
More court coverage to see more matches.
***Note, there were still some glitches in signing into the app after the update on different devices. It was not registering that I already had a subscription. I had to delete it from my phone and re-download for my subscription to show up.

Can’t access account, nonexistent CS
Ever since the new update (which btw, who does 10 days out from a major with exclusive rights - tells you a lot about how much they don’t care about their customers), I haven’t been able to login to my account. Tried calling CS line and was on hold for 1 hr 45 minutes before they hung up without commenting me to anyone. Every 5 mines CS would give an updated window that made no sense. “You’re 2nd in line, 60minute wait” then five minutes later “you’re 7th in line, 11 minute wait.” No technical support available, no updates from the platform before implementing this change, and now no way to watch content that I have paid for. Absolutely terrible changes to an already bad platform. Fire your PM, fire your engineers, do some actual QA and listen to your customers. Can’t wait to report this to my credit card company so I can at least stop paying for my crappy useless subscription.

How can this app possible believe it’s acceptable to show the winner of a tournament on the opening screen for the on demand replays of that tournament????? If you want to watch a tournament on demand, when you select the tournament, the first thing you see is a photo of the year’s winner. Ruins it! Turning spoilers off simply means it won’t tell you how long it took for the winner they just told you to win…but it will still automatically show you who wins! Stupid! Go look at the MLB app if you want to see what avoiding spoilers should look like. And if you exit a match to come back later, it forgets where you were in the match. And the fast forward takes forever! So bad. Give me my money back.

Worst update ever
This recent update is horrendous. Why anyone cares about what court a tennis player is playing on is ridiculous! I can’t sort by mail or female by ATP by WTA bye I mean even just trying to get to sort through the tournament itself I don’t know what day they play off but before I knew what round it was and I don’t care about if it’s day seven of the tournament just need to know what round they’re in and I can tell that now. And I agree with a lot of the other reviews where they say that they have the pictures of people and sometimes I only watch women and then I go back and watch the men well I can’t do that now because you’re showing pictures of people that have already won their matches and moved on to us and another round and I end up seeing who’s already in the next round! this is horrible please put it back to the other way please please please!

New lipstick. Same old bad quality super compressed glitchy low fps video stream. It should be illegal to put out such a bad service. Such a disservice to the WTA, ATP, and all sponsors: they should pick high quality partner to license & sponsor their content.
March 2024 Review: Still low quality stream, and barely usable app. Video is still low quality and highly compressed, the frame rate is maybe 15fps. Am still on high bandwidth connection. Canceled last year. Do not pay for this.
Spring 2023 Review: Just submitted a fraud complaint to Apple. The app does not deliver what it promises. Videos are broken. Streaming is unwatchable super pixelated even if you are in fiber. The is this business not you the customers.

I wish I could give this 0 stars
This company clearly doesn’t care about its premium customers. Im convinced that the app product manager is asleep at the Wheel or has never held a product job. Also the product manager must not have a manager because their app has been down for 3 days since their update. I'm assuming the CEO only watches the tennis channel on cable and must be clueless that some inexperienced product manager did an app release 10 days before Roland Garros.
Now if you want to send a note to customer service to tell them about the issue. There is a 404 error for their customer service app. So I’m paying for tennis channel premium have installed and uninstalled on multiple devices and I’m unable to watch tennis.

Good app, could be better
I’ve had this app for a few years. I pay for it and have come to terms with the fact that no one app will give you all the matches you want due to them not having the rights. I use this app to watch WTA matches and the ATP to watch the men’s. Then I get espn for 1 month a year for the us open. Even with all this you still don’t get EVERY match. When it comes to the actual app, it works well for me. I can watch wherever I want. Things I would love to see is a 10 second fast forward and rewind button like the atp app has. Would also like to mark matches I’ve watched and have the ability to have a playlist of matches I would like to watch.

The last update is AWFUL! It used to be organized so well. I could find the matches I wanted to watch easily and quickly. Now I have to go by court, by day and turn men’s and women’s are all mixed together making it even more of a disorganized mess. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back. Even worse when I finally find what I want to watch it won’t let me log in despite having a subscription.

Horrible streaming service
i’ll start with a pro: I love the content. they will show lots of doubles play, all of the minor and major tournaments and commentators are great. it’s just too bad you only get to see a portion of what you pay for as the streaming constantly buffers and literally I can only watch for about 20-30 mins at a time before it cuts completely off and takes me to my TV Home page and I have to go back, get back on TCP and find the match I was watching- which continually happens during a major point or tie break. infuriating! I have excellent internet service and constantly check if somehow my internet service is the problem. it’s not. this is just poorly developed and i dont know, they dont seem to care. when you google this issue the problems go back years!
