Too expensive to upgrade

Ok now that I’ve played the game for 24hrs I can leave my review. It’s absolutely ridiculous how expensive it is to upgrade the stations. Are you kidding me with the ridiculous amount of tech points/ lava stones required to upgrade? It feels like this a ploy to get players to spend real $. Remember players don’t mind spending $ on games as long as it’s worth it. I’m not spending my hard earned $ because you guys want to be unreasonable. Hopefully you guys revise that because it takes away from the fun. Also, if you’ve never played any of the virtual families/ villagers games it’ll be confusing since it’s no tutorial as to what to do you, just have to figure it out. Maybe a “helpful tips” tab would resolve this? UPDATE: this game have major bugs the villagers stopped moving so they weren’t collecting resources. I sent a message to support I haven’t gotten a response. I left the game overnight by this morning I logged back into the game and all of the villagers passed and the food has been depleted.😑

Glitches unsolved

I have been playing the Virtual Villagers from the very beginning, starting with “A new home”. I understand that VV6 Devine destiny is in the Beta stages but it seems that support doesn’t really care about fixing glitches in the game. I have written many time about glitches in my game where I’ve lost progress several times including loss of tech points even providing screenshots of the issues and they basically keep telling me that nobody else has complained about this issue so therefore the problem must be with my computer. I feel as though they are not interested in solving problems within the game and just want to ignore their players. Why ask for feedback about the game if you’re just going to dismiss the issue.

Loyal fan of LDW; incredibly disappointed with VV6

I have been a loyal fan of Last Day of Work (LDW) since VV1 and Fish Tycoon. To say I was excited when I saw VV6 available is an understatement. I regularly replay VV1-5, I have purchased all of their full games in that series as well as their other games such as Fish Tycoon and the Virtual Families series. This is the only company I was willing to and enjoyed supporting. Until VV6. Being forced to watch ads that disrupt my gameplay, such as to complete puzzles which is a major aspect of the Virtual Villagers series, is enough to make me uninstall the game and reconsider my opinion of LDW. Coming here and seeing a developer I used to highly revere reply to reviews such as mine, stating that these same ads are non disruptive to the gameplay experience, is disappointing to say the least. I don’t want to complete puzzles or stations now because I will be forced to watch these advertisements. But puzzles and stations are most of the game. Usually I’m happy to pay to remove ads from my game. However, I don’t play games that appear greedy and take over my experience with ads to force my hand. I thought LDW had higher standards than they have shown with this latest edition.

We're always reviewing how we manage them within the game, and I've sent your feedback to our team. That said, making any in-app purchase removes these ads completely!

Difficult to play

I think the game could be great if it wasn’t difficult to play, there’s no real guide for anything and the “puzzles” are hard to figure out on your own so adding tips when the player is clearly stuck would be helpful, but my main issue is keeping the villagers alive, the villagers never really want to go to the love shack and even if they do there is no baby so I’m stuck with the same number of villagers until they die out, and recently I’ve been stuck in this cycle where no matter what, all my villagers die and I have to restart EVERY time I open the game so I can’t make any real progress in the game, another thing is the use of the divine powers, it’s very confusing in my opinion because when I’d drag a villager to a certain spot it’ll say a powerful force is needed to clear the curse but it’s not specific and I tried every power that was unlocked and nothing worked so I just gave up, overall I just wish there was more help, guides, or tips or something in order to make some real progress so it can be more enjoyable.

They die too quickly for someone who isn't playing the game constantly throughout the day. Also, its kind of hard to figure out how to break the curses and create in the game. I’ve been stuck on the one hut all they do is “maintain” it and they die . Might uninstall Idk

Minor suggestion , maybe a few more prompts like I’m stuck after the love house and also the game maybe should have a pause button when u like detox or go away cause it’s really frustrating when they all die because u wanted a detox

GREEDY GAME DEVELOPER

If I could give this game a MINUS 1 million review I would. I don’t mind spending $ on a game that’s fair with its customers. However this game developer is showing its utter greed. In Beta version 1.0.7-8 you could craft something that took 1-1/2 hours and it was only 4 lava to complete early. So I thought that’s pretty fair and will make some lava purchases to support game developer. After last update 1.1.2, crafting an item that takes 40 minutes, they now want 48 lava stone to finish early. That’s RIDICULOUS!!!! LDW you lost my $ and my respect. Someone is starting a petition to boycott your games and I’m not surprised. People aren’t going to support you and we’ll see to it that it hurts your $ as you’re trying to hurt ours, the consumer. Too bad you decided to be greedy instead of fair to people who originally wanted to support you.

There are many other ways to earn Lavastones and Tech Points apart from buying them in the Marketplace - you can earn them through random events in the game, the trading ship, exploring volcanic cracks, watching video ads, the daily reward calendar and much more! Pay to play

I see the object of this game. So far the women all die after giving birth along with their kids. So now I’m left with 4 men. Soon they will die. Then I’ll have to start the game over and lose my progress unless I BUY villagers. This game is a rip off. Worst virtual villagers to date. The men and women never want to go to the love shack. It’s impossible to complete quest and puzzles because it takes FOREVER to gain tech points. The workers always walk away from the research desk. WASTE OF TIME!!! PAY TO PLAY!!!

Dumb AI generated video and fall from grace

Really sad to see the devs of some of my favorite childhood games stoop so low as to using garbage Ai generated images and videos for their game. Would’ve been happier if this never game out and the swap of the virtual families 3 app icon makes it look so disgusting and cheap as well. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but it just breaks my heart to leave this review after I got so excited over a new virtual villagers game in 2024.
