No way to pre-load shot lists
Shot lists must be created when shooting, so there is no way to enter load data in ahead of time. This makes it a real pain and time consuming to type all this in while at the firing line during round development.
Also, no way to add shots to a saved group, or add a shot manually in a string in the event of communication issues via the cable or Bluetooth.
Lastly, the ability to add a picture to the saved shot string is great, but it can only access the camera, so you can’t use a photo from the library. It would be better to also allow the user to select an image from the library so that they can quickly take images of all groups at once, and add them to the saved shot groups later. (This would also allow the user to user images that have been annotated with group size by other apps)

Won’t work with new iOS
This worked fine with my old iPhone but not with my iPhone 11
Caldwell don’t seem interested in releasing and update to the app for modern iOSmagimps

After trying all, I mean all — won’t work. At the Caldwell site say emails us — no response past outbot ack, nothing more.
If the phone does not have the pole jack 3.5mm or whatever they call it NOT the flat wide one on new phones — will not work.
There’s a third ring NOT on a normal pole jack for sound that adapters will not have and the phone app will NOT see it.

Struggled getting a connection even following other settings. Needed to plug everything in with the chronograph off. Connected fine once the chronograph was turned back on.eb-review
IPHONE X
Works fine on the iPhone X with the dongle attached. I’ve had mine for 4 years and it’s as easy to use and accurate as any chronograph. They’re all touchy.DJ Slopoke
App doesn’t find chronograph.
I have had the chronograph to the range three times. The app won’t connect to the device with Bluetooth or the hard cable. I see that several reviews mention the iPhone 6 and 6S, but my 6S will not recognize the device. I have allowed access to the microphone. I have turned off Bluetooth to use the cable. I have removed and re-installed the app a couple of times. It still does not make a connection, wireless or wired.
I have enjoyed Caldwell products for many years, but this chrono and app are useless.

Works on the XR with the apple adapter.
I didn’t expect it to work from the older comments. I had no trouble using the apple lighting to headphone adapter.poopy pats

Awful. No connection to current iPhone and Bluetooth doesn’t work. How about put out a product that at least connects with today’s technology Caldwell? Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Functions well in its ownGooses beer

App works fine, on older devices
Will not work on new phones without the 3.5mm jack. The app doesn't recognize the connection with the 3.5mm - lightning adapter. Cmon Caldwell. Update. Support your product!Jbclark187
