Normally okay but Now absolutely horrible

Normally I don’t have anything to say about the bus because their pretty normal but now about 4 times in a row they have been too early, and not just one minute early but I was on the stop about 5 minutes before it was meant to leave and I had already missed it, if I could give it 0 stars then I would

21 and 23 service

The above services could always be relied on but in the last six months things have changed. The buses are either early or late and a lot do not turn up at all. My husband and I regularly use the bus all over the UK and feel if you want to keep the buses going then the services need to be on time. The other evening two 21 buses failed to turn up, we had to run through town making us late for the theatre. I will add we left our house with two hours to spare and were still late! Please keep our services running. Thank you. Sue and Nigel Thomas

Worst unreliable app ever

Since deciding to use public transport again and Cardiff Bus again, it has been a huge mistake and a huge annoyance. This app is so unreliable it is giving inaccurate times of buses all the time. I’m currently waiting for a bus right now. The 25 was due at 7:46am, it is 7:50 and it is nowhere to be seen. If a bus doesn’t make it expected tome the app completely removes it - how is that meant show live bus timetables if this happens? It is very inaccurate. Perhaps invest more time in your drivers arriving on time than spending money on developing an app. Let’s face it why have you bothered to ad local business, is it really needed when your app times are so unreliable? Priorities please and a little common sense Mr Developer!

Sort the location services

Average app. UI’s fine. Big issue for me is that you need to know where you are, and therefore need to input current location as well as destination. I don’t think it is able to use the phones GPS signal to find nearest stops and therefore unable to tell you which stop would be best (eg if you are 100yds away from a bus stop that would get you to your destination faster). If it had these (pretty basic) qualities, it would be a fine travel app.

Missing a key Feature!

Why can’t I refund tickets I no longer need? Or at the very least “Gift” them to someone who will use them? I bulk bought tickets as it worked out cheaper at the time, but unfortunately will no longer have any need to use them.
The app itself functions as you would expect but I hate having to waste perfectly good tickets!
Please fix this.

Clean your seats

Honestly this review would be 5 stars but some of the seats on these busses are really dirty. I’m looking at one now and you can just tell that they haven’t been cleaned for ages, especially because there is so much dust just in the corners. Please just sort this issue.

Also the app itself is fine.

Problems

Not sure why I have to keep going to apps to open up the app. And if I am not on WiFi doesn’t seem to want to work. Not as user friendly as before.

Not a crime to people

Everyone please ignore the 1star comment this app is a massive upgrade from the old crappy iff app and u are one person so don’t talk for the whole of Wales or involve u idiot I think they have done a great job and the app even tells u about events and what’s near great job guys much better!!!!

Reset password

It won't let me reset my password. The email never gets sent... Would rate higher but this feature is preventing me from transfering my existing tickets from the IFF app

A crime against the people of Wales

I am shocked to see so many 5 star reviews here. I can only assume that the people of Wales, so used to being offered less than mediocre services ten years behind those of other cities, feel honoured to have the opportunity to finally buy bus tickets digitally. Whoever paid for this app at Cardiff Bus or the council should either be fired or sent on an IT procurement course. Why? It’s like the Lego of apps, nay, the Duplo of apps. Fumbled together to make something that represents a modern service but scratch beneath the service and its clunky, old fashioned and more of a hinderance than an advantage. The only possible advantage is once you’ve set it up you no longer have to scratch sticky 5 pence pieces from the bottom of last winters jacket (or is it coat?) to get exact change for Drive. Pathetic. Sad my capital city’s busses are so poor.
