Description of Annoydio

Annoydio has a grid of pads which you can assign, manipulate, and play sounds. There are several built in sounds you can assign to any of the pads. In the Library you can create your own custom sounds using your device's microphone. You can also add custom sounds through iTunes file sharing. You can manipulate the sounds by changing the frequency, playing in reverse, looping, adding effects such as distortion and delay. You can also change parameters such as attack, decay, sustain, and release. You can connect a MIDI keyboard and play the current sound with full polyphony. On the iPad version there is a popup keyboard. Annoydio also supports Inter-App Audio as a sound module and MIDI device. You can use Annoydio as an instrument to add beats or effects to songs in apps like Garage Band. Short demonstration video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzuQhLxMxeM

Reviews of Annoydio

  • Import Audio

This app would be great if you could import your own sounds
  • In the description you say we can use the microphone to record

I can’t find this anywhere, checked your YouTube demo, am I missing something?

    Developer Response

    - Press the Library button in upper left of screen. - Press the + button on the upper right to create a New sound. - Press the red record button and record through microphone or any audio input attached to your device. The sound is added to your library and can then be assigned to one or more pads.
  • Can't record on a pad interface?

This is not what it seems to be .importing from iTunes is lame.so far no good .i hate when weekend warriors design apps.or people who dangle carrots.this should have come with a grid to compose some beats at least.

    Developer Response

I am sorry you are so upset. There was never any description or UI that implied recording directly to a pad. There is a video that shows how to use Annoydio and there is a free version that even allows you to record a single sound. The recording in this application is performed by tapping the Library button and then the + button to add a sound to the library.
