  • Understanding how Withings works

Based on the reviews I have read here there is some confusion as to how the scales send their data. It's not like the watches, it does not pair with an iDevice. It sends its data out through the Internet to Withings. You set it up to use your wifi. You then pick up the data via this app when you are logged in and have an Internet connection.

This app is really for weight only. I do wish there was a full iPad app covers all health data.

  • Nice clear accessory for your Withings Equipment

...yes, I don't often give 5*, so I rate this pretty high with 4. It is much slicker and clearer to use than the health app and iPhone Withings app. I see it as an additional viewer though, I set the system up with my phone first.
Takes about 30 sec from weigh in to appearance in the app. It is my go to weight app now. You can scroll, zoom etc. Nice.

  • no WS-50 compatibilty

What's going on here? Why can't I connect my scale? This needs an update badly.
  • Great scale, why is iPad software an afterthought?

Like many other reviewers, I just don't understand why the iPad software is not as good as the iPhone version. The scale is a great piece of kit, the iPhone software is also very good - Withings, you really should fix this, I'd like to see my step count on the Withings app too.
  • Skimpy stale data

A pretty limited app that pretty much just shows tables of readings and a chart, but it doesn't even do that well since it doesn't update very often so the data is old and there's no way to force it to refresh.

Also, I just noticed that although the app knows about fat percentages because it can display them in a table, that the chart uses axis measures that don't let them get displayed. And there is apparently no way to adjust the axis measures.

  • Still the best of the Withings apps for weight monitoring

I can't understand what people have moaned about. This works flawlessly for me. By the time I get downstairs the read is on my iPad.
A big graph that I can see trends on, a lean as well as fat graph, the ability to delete duplicates, landscape format etc make this far better than the tarty, bloated Healthmate app.

  • Withings App and data

Withings Apps and other online data just plainly horrible. It's just has so much confusion trying to maneuver around. I wish other apps were compatible with Withings devices because I would dump Withings app immediately!
  • Barebones app and buggy

The iPhone app is great, but the iPad app is clearly not well considered. Can't get passcode to work after multiple attempts - and see another review from 2014 saying the same thing... Why wouldn't that be fixed by now?

Only good for weight and blood pressure tracking.

Isn't it possible to duplicate the iPhone app which is much more complete and not buggy?

Removed Withings iPad app immediately. I'll just use MyFitnessPal - it pulls weight from Withings anyway, and provides much more info.

  • Withings Smart Body Analyzer

Instructions in the box show how to set the scale up for iPhone, iPad, and iPad Touch using this app. but the information in the app says it is not compatible with iPad.
  • What a load of rubbish

The app doesn't even register the presence of the scales, there is no functionality to pair it with your scales. Don't bother using it , just stick to a spreadsheet.
