Not useful
I scanned products that were clearly marked vegan, and it did not recognize them. I scanned a dozen other products that I did not recognize. Second problem is they design, is their advertising so you can easily flat finger installation of unwanted software.
App stinks
Not accurate at all. I just got it & decided to test it on vegan food and hair products and both times it was not sure then I scanned a dairy item and it said vegan and then in the description it said vegetarian ingredients. I’m not looking for vegetarian!!!! I’m looking for vegan safe!!!! Wth?!?! This app needs updated horribly bad. I deleted it already because it is worthless.

What is this for?
I don’t see the point in this app. Items that I’m not sure about whether they are vegan or not this app reports as “not sure”. And it’s like yeah that’s why I got you. To know for sure. So it’s no help at all. And items that are certified vegan they don’t see as completely vegan. So now I have trust issues with this app. Kind of lost as to why it exists if it isn’t helpful to begin with.

Doesn’t tell you if an item is vegan
I downloaded this to check if items I already have in my fridge are vegan or not as I transition into my vegan diet. First I scanned blueberry eggo waffles and it said “unsure” and under the list of unknown ingredients, every single one was there. To give it the benefit of the doubt, I scanned a bag of my partners frozen chicken nuggets. The same result came up: unsure. The only benefit of this app is it has all the ingredients on your screen so you can read them yourself more easily. Doesn’t tell you if it’s vegan or not though.

I was using this for several years and it worked alright. Somehow it almost seems like a lot of items got deleted from its database recently. Items that I used to be able to search for now don’t even pop up. Very strange. Unfortunately I’ll have to switch to another app now
Can’t trust for Vegan
My mom and I are vegans and used app religiously. Unfortunately, We are finding products claimed to be vegan in app which are not. To give you an example: the most recent item found in app claimed as vegan which IS NOT vegan is Bark This snacking chocolate (dark chocolate coconut & almond). They may fix this product based on this message but there are other products like this claimed as vegan but are not. I tried emailing the app service but cannot find a workable email in contact page so posting this review as my last resort.
Bottom line, this app cannot be trust for vegans.

Very convenient
I love how convenient this app is. It’s helpful to just scan the barcode when grocery shopping instead of reading through ingredients. I think it can be a little confusing for potential app users because there is a scale from definitely vegan to definitely not vegan, when either it’s vegan or not, no in between. I believe it includes vegetarian though. Otherwise this app is awesome!

Wow, this app has changed (and not for the better).
I used this back in 2014 and it was amazing. Pretty much every food you scanned was found and there were not pop up ad. Now, every single time you scan something it pops up with an ad. And the thing is, out of the 3 items I was attempting to search, none of them were loaded. I immediately deleted it. What a disappointment because I remember how great this app was!

Signed up for free trial and it charged me $45
I signed up for a free trial and it charged me $45 and signed me up for 30 days this is unacceptable and it doesn’t even work
If use to be ok...
It use to be ok as it needed improvement. But now it doesn’t work for me at all. I had even bought it when it first came out. It worked much better when you purchased it. But now it doesn’t work, I keep getting invalid barcode message. Also I’m getting ad’s now, I paid for it so I shouldn’t be getting ad’s. So yeah it disappointing and I don’t recommend this app as it just seems easier to look it up the regular way. They really need to keep up to date with the newer technology. It was a nice idea but poor execution.
