Do not use this app

Do not use this app to book tickets on the Shinkansen or other trains. They are hopeless. Multiple bookings I submitted and paid for came back as fully booked with refund being processed. So $600 down and no tickets for one journey, walked into the station, used the JR ticket machine and got tickets straight away for the journey they said was fully booked. Then on top of that, the booking that did work, when I printed the tickets, my wife and I were in separate seats 6 rows apart. Who does that? Absolute clowns, will never use them again. What a joke.

No longer able to access my premium account from the app

I purchased a 90 day subscription and able to log on on the web but no longer able to see my account on the app. I was able to see my account previously on the app, so why suddenly not working after update?

Very Helpful

Has made making an itinerary with clear directions and accurate locations as well as travel durations very easy however it’s still buggy and doesn’t always work, I’ve had to restart the app many times because it gets stuck on something. When it works it’s fantastic but it doesn’t always work.

Complete waste of money

Avoid! This app is just full of adverts without providing any serious navigation assistance. It is a complete rip off to pay the price charge and then find non stop advertising at my expense. I got it because Google has been less reliable here than in the UK but this app is much worse than Google and not a patch on something like Citymapper which has accurate up to date transit info and useable maps.

Super Useful!

I have used the app to help determine which trains to take in my travels across Japan. The information is very accurate and I have no problem calculating the fare to pay that can be especially confusing when looking at the station boards. It also allows the user to select the route based on individual preferences (time, cost, method). Useful for both intercity and urban city train travel. Can’t recommend it enough!

Better than Google maps in Tokyo

More accurate than Google maps (which would give incorrect platform numbers etc). I don’t know how a foreigner without any Japanese language skills would be able to get around without it! We had no problem navigating the confusing Tokyo metro system with this app. It gives multiple routes/options for getting around, including fare prices and all of them were accurate. We downloaded the Suíca IC card (the regular card; the Welcome card is not downloadable) onto our iPhones Apple Wallets and tapped everywhere we went including buses. It’s also very easy to pay with cash as the machines in front of turnstiles had English language options and gives change.

Sorry but not worth asking price

Sorry I struggle to understand who this app is for. Most of the content is from marketing material for activities, something which advertisers already pay for and the navigation app doesn’t match the convenience of Google Map, kanjis are not shown for place names but you would need this reference on the field. I never used this application once, for sightseeing places , a search in a browser is more likely to return matches, there is nothing useful K could see unless of course there is a feature I missed out.

Average

Lots of ads, lots of ways to buy tickets. But not very accurate for public transport routing... I got much better results from 100% free google maps….

Amazing

Just the most amazing app. I used it last year for the JR pass and will so again this year. As an older person, I love the simplicity and accuracy of the app. Thank you so much.

Good, easy enough to understand

When trying to plan my trip, I found that I wanted to explore areas/neighbourhoods but the app doesn’t allow that, so adding that would be great. Also allowing us to add our own locations if they are not in the app would be good. Adding photos as well would be great, such as wanting to add your own map. Being able to remove transport when the location is in the same place, such as a castle inside a park and there being travel between the two options. Changing the date of things you’ve planned without having to start over, just moving the days.
