From innovation to disappointment!
I’ve been using Telegram since its release and have always admired its innovative approach and useful updates. It used to be a platform that prioritized user experience, constantly rolling out features that genuinely made communication more efficient and enjoyable. However, over time, Telegram seems to have lost its way. The focus has shifted drastically, turning into what feels like a crypto heaven rather than a messaging app. Instead of addressing bugs or enhancing the core functionality, updates now feel like unnecessary data bloat with little to no value for long-term users. For example, free users are still stuck with very limited reaction options—a glaring issue that hasn’t been addressed for years. Meanwhile, newer updates often introduce more problems than they solve. The latest update, in particular, has been a nightmare; it causes my iPhone 13 Pro Max to overheat to the point where it feels like it’s hot as lava. Telegram’s declining focus on free users is another disappointment. Features are increasingly locked behind paywalls, making the app feel more useless for those who don’t subscribe. What was once a forward-thinking platform now seems more concerned with monetization than user satisfaction.

Video doesn’t work with new version
Since about a week ago, video doesn’t work and I only hear sound.
When I use Telegram app on my PC, video works fine.
So for sure the issue is on the iPhone app, please fix it ASAP.

Doesn’t work properly
After “bug fixing” telegram doesn’t work like before. Video doesn’t play. Tried everything to fix the issue nothing works.
Return the features
I beg you, return the download button for videos, so I can start or stop download them in the chat as it was before. And it's so annoying to get PiP by swipe up for the videos. Could you make a switch off. PLEASE. I am you customer since 2016. Don't make me switch to another app
I don’t like new updates
Loading and buffering videos are much slower after new updates, even there’s an option of preloading videos! And the other negative point is I don’t see the size of most videos anymore which is annoying and I had the option to choose whether to download and see that video or not! You’re making it more commercial I suppose which is not that pleasant for old users!

Design Telegram's database to be deleted as having no data inventory! The founder himself cannot view the chat and there is no data inventory! This means that the chat is not recorded and cannot be retrieved. If the chat record is deleted from the chat page, it will never be viewed, so that the founder will not be arrested and threatened to hand over the database! The investigation bureau and police department are unable to access the database because they cannot even access it themselves. How to hand over the database storage is the perfect Telegram. However, if Telegram is required to hand over the database storage, it means that the software will completely go bankrupt and no one will use Telegram again. I am a user from China and often do illegal things. Telegram is my paradise and I long for freedom! ADD FEATURE: Bookmark
Situation: you find a new channel about graphic design.
You scroll for 30 minutes, and end up reading messages from 2020, but have to leave to go live your life.
You want to come back to reading, but scrolling all the way up is just inconvenient.
If only i could bookmark a message from that chat and comeback to it when i go into that channel…
INTRODUCING - BOOKMARKS
Make it possible to leave a “bookmark” on any MESSAGE of a channel you follow *
(make following that channel compulsory to promote engagement)
*and return to that “bookmark” aka message and continue reading | scrolling from that point on.
[At todays point we can only send a message from a channel to our saved messages, but thats 73% more inconvenient then having the BOOKMARK.]

I’ve been incredibly disappointed with this app after using it for some time. The customer support is virtually nonexistent—there’s no easy way to reach out when issues arise, and even when you do, the response is slow and unhelpful. The app is also filled with unverified content, leading to a frustrating experience where irrelevant and low-quality posts flood the platform. To make things worse, the app is plagued by bugs and frequent crashes, which severely hinder its usability. Each update seems to introduce more problems instead of solving existing ones. On top of that, the overwhelming number of ads feels invasive, making it clear the developers prioritize revenue over user experience. Overall, it’s been a disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this app until serious improvements are made.
