The SMART STAT BASIC app works in conjunction with the SMART STAT BASIC patient simulator, developed by Simulaids, to enable health care professionals in all fields to sharpen their assessment and decision-making skills in the environment they work. Every kind of realistic and challenging scenario can be worked out, from basic life support skills to the most advanced life-saving procedures, all without risk to patients.
Designed for First Responders, EMT’s, Paramedics, Firefighters and Combat Medics; Trainees and Healthcare Education Instructors can practice real life scenarios to better prepare for daily challenges when the app is used alongside the Patient Simulator. Please note that this app requires a live connection to a SMART STAT BASIC patient simulator in order for it to be used properly.
The app allows you to control the Physiological Parameters of the Patient Simulator with simple dropdown selections. A partial list of such controllable parameters includes but is not limited to:
• Heart
• Lungs
• Airway
• Sounds
• Pulses
Scenarios can be programmed to provide timed physiological changes with simple taps of the screen. Fully editable lists of Students, Medications and Skill Sets allow Healthcare Education Instructors to easily create the custom items needed for proper documentation of critical skills assessment. Recorded Student’s simulation sessions may be edited, printed and reviewed via simulation reports made available on the iPad through the App.
