Fantastic App, some stability problems
The concept is perfect and has changed my ability to get up in the mornings when I planned on it the night before. However the app has crashed on me several times and not gone off. This isn’t okay for an alarm app. Check the crash logs and resolve the bugs and it’s a perfect app. It also often takes awhile to focus on a barcode for some reason.Show lessjimmy8667895
Great when it doesn’t crash
This app is so helpful for getting up in the morning and staying on track throughout the day (thanks for the ADHD tips like scanning laundry detergent from other reviewers!!). I wish I could select a longer don’t wake my spouse option, like 30 or 60 seconds. Mostly, I wish the app worked all the time. It crashes constantly, so I get annoying notifications all day, and the moment I click one, I have to go around the house scanning all my barcodes, or do the backup number entries (which are long and they flash), and they aren’t programmed to not move behind my keyboard. They should stay in the top half of the screen. I looked into similar apps and they all have reviews saying they crash, not sure what the issue is, but I would love if that could be fixed and I would be willing to get the paid version. Great app
The only alarm app that I use consistently and enjoy. There are only two issues, one being that sometimes the alarm won’t ring if the app is swiped off. Another being the ads. Besides that, the functionality is amazing and the ringtones are a perfect mix of startling but not too annoying. Wish it was consistent :(((((
Has only worked three times out of the past six days I’ve been using it. When it does work, it works wonderfully and I get up and going much quicker than I ever have. However, with only a 50% chance of my alarm going off in the morning, I just can’t trust it to do its job :( The app is constantly crashing in background mode. When it crashes, the alarm doesn’t go off until you open the app manually. Often hours after I was supposed to wake up.
Please keep working on it! Or release a simple barcode scanner alarm clock device, a dumbphone of sorts, that won’t constantly fail to go off at the right time. It is so sooo helpful when it works. I’m genuinely sad that I need to go find something else that is more reliable:(Show lessncyegsicbsklq
Great concept ; but has some bugs
I loved this app and the idea behind scanning a barcode to get up in the morning. It’s probably been the only alarm style app that has worked at getting me up. The only issue I’m having is that the app crashes every few minutes; and I get a notification that I need to tap to restart the app. I’ll end up getting over 50 notifications within the hour that the app has crashed and because it’s been crashing so much, the alarm doesn’t end up going off. When it works, it’s a great app, but lately it’s been crashing nonstop which is a bit annoying.Show lessRaiNoe
Very glitchy
Been using this app for a couple weeks. I like the idea and it’s definitely helped me get up, but there are issues. Most significantly, I am getting 5, 10 or more “crash notifications” every day, with a confusing message about background mode. One morning this all happened in the night, so the alarm either didn’t go off or went off so quietly that it didn’t wake me up. Also, this morning, the window on the screen where you scan the barcode was misshapen and off in the corner, and I couldn’t get it to scan.
Overall it feels a bit amateurish in its design and functionality. Hate to say it because it’s a helpful tool, but the app needs work.Show lessyowza_bean
Great idea, mediocre implementation.
The alarm sounds are very effective, very obnoxious (in a good way). However, they do not ignore the volume buttons (even when the app says they do) and so you must make sure to turn up volume before going to sleep. A lot of bug issues, latency issues, app crashes, and poor UI/user friendliness bring what could have easily been 5 stars down to 2. Hopefully updates remedy some of these problems.Show lessflashelliott
It’s really getting there
There are some really unique features that I haven’t seen in other apps. The very first night I used this however, it crashed and went into backup mode, which is volume control sensitive and could be ‘silenced’. Get rid of the crashing and the bugs and this is a really great appPencilis
Gets me out of bed
Before I downloaded this app nothing got me out of bed. I was desperate. I set 5 alarms, each separated by a minute, on my phone, and another several on an iPad across the room. I managed to turn off all the alarms on my phone in my sleep consistently. I would get up and turn off the iPad alarm and somehow still fall asleep 3 times in a row. This app forces me to go into my bathroom, turn on the bright lights, and hold the phone camera up to a barcode in order to make it stop. So far barcode alarm has gotten me out of bed every time, and I haven’t fallen back asleep afterwards! Highly recommend.Show lessbanaynayd
Pretty useless, maybe a glitch?
When my phone is locked and silent, with background mode on, it does not produce a sound. It loads my notification bar with a hundred notifications, but never makes a sound.
Furthermore, when my phone is not on silent, I unlock my phone to turn off the “alarm”, it says “background mode ON” and stops making noise. So I can just open it to scan the barcode… and go back to sleep.
This doesn’t help me. I will turn off alarms in my sleep, I need it to actually wake me up in order to function.
I shouldn’t be able to “trick” the app into being silent.Show lessMissemzilla
