  • Simply fantastic

    Title says it all.

You can quickly scan the special cards and get an A, B, C or D answer from each student in the class. Similar to using whiteboards with your students but you get a record of the answer given by each student. You can display the results as a graph or see the individual responses from your student.

The special cards are just A5 printouts (I use the two cards per A4 page) so it's easy to give each student in every class their own card and keep a spare set should a card is lost.

Easy enough to create questions on a computer or in the app so you don't need the questions on a separate PowerPoint as well.

There is no facility to export the answers or graphs but as a fee app it is still worth five stars. If some of the suggested enhancements are made I'd pay to be able to export the data to CSV or Excel but I still love this app as it gives me such useful information about what my students know and understand without having to give then formal tests (which I'd have to mark!).

Update: you can now export the results. I still use it on a regular basis both to ask quick questions to a class and do longer tests using multiple questions. It's very useful to be able to look at all the times you have used a question with a class and see which students gave the correct answer and when they got it right.

  • Few easy fix's

A neat app that has a nice formative assessment purpose at school.
    Needs a few fix ups:
    1. Add photos to each individual multi choice answer/option rather than just adding it to the whole question
    2. When I'm attempting to add a photo the keyboard doesn't automatically disappear which means I have to save an exit and re open before being able to add a photo
    Please fix, thanks!

  • Extremely good, but some un-user-friendly aspects.

The app is really ace - fantastic way to get multiple choice answers from a group. All the students say it’s great because nobody knows what they’re voting for. Setting up classes and writing questions is really easy, especially when you can use the ‘dictate’ feature on your phone, which I would recommend for quick question setting.
However, some things I hope the developers are working on for an update: It would be much better if you could do EVERYTHING you need to do from the phone without having to go back to the laptop. Especially revealing the answer on the live screen to the kids, and switching to and from the graph view as well. This would just keep the dynamic flowing a lot better in lessons.
That said, i will continue to use this because it really is very simple and a brilliant idea.
