Terrible App
App does not sync with the aircon unit that cost 15k and actron engineering seems to be run by a an idiot. Although system work ok with manual controller in the house but app is faulty since app cannot get an IP address from the aircon unit. You can get the IP address if you goto the main switch board and reset it.. Is this the only way Australian owned Actron engineering suppose to get an IP address? Time for these actron idiots to get some proper education.

Saw the bad reviews so thought I’d write my my own.
Have been using for around 4yrs and has worked fine at home and offsite.
On those hot days knowing I can keep the house cooler on arrival was worth the investment good work team.

Simple app with features that don’t work and connection issues
This is a terrible app with basic features where some don’t even work.
It also has regular connection issues where the app either doesn’t connect or instructions don’t make it to the aircon.
There is also a weird interaction where the zone controllers loose sense of where they are and you need to turn the power off to the system to ‘reset’.
This doesn’t happen if the app isn’t used.
Considering how the good the Daikin WiFi control system is you should be embarrassed to sell this with your product.
Please update the app.

Just as LSS Pro’s review alluded to. Terrible design., functionality even in its simplicity.
I’ve persisted with this app for years. It’s rather criminal. I’ve spent hundreds if not thousands of $ because I could not turn off the air con whilst travelling or setting a timer etc.
Anyways just read LSS PRo’s review as no further comment to be made. Suggest removing the app from the store unless you plan on updating, fixing and resolving the issues. Don’t pretend.

Choose another vendor
Possibly the worst and most unreliable system I have used. I have been using this system for a few years now. The app regularly can’t talk to their server but you get no feedback in their app to let you know. You end up having to manually control the a/c when this happens - and it seems to happen a lot. It also has no API for integration with home automation. Pick another a/c vendor if you are looking to do a new install.

Outdated and slow
This app was already outdated and slow even with nbn. But the last time where there was some sort of server issue meant it didn’t even work. I understand the server can go down, but the company and developers should address it ASAP instead of two days later. Being able to remotely control which room gets cooled/heated is an integral part of why we chose this ActronAir. Please update the app to run faster and smoother. Please be better with communication

Don’t spend a cent on it.
This app has barely worked over the years. It has failed to stay connected to the wifi network and is the only device that has this issue. Needs a reset each time to reconnect which involves getting into the roof to get to the unit to do. I am tech savvy and this is just rubbish. Next unit I get where I will look for a smart device will not be an Actron unit. The reviews of their ‘new’ apps doesn’t seem to have improved the situation.

Rudimentary but solid performance
I have had this app now for a few months. Used daily and never crashes.
Functionality is limited but does it well.
I can control my aircon including temp and zones from anywhere. Great way to maximize my use of my POV solar.

This application is better than nothing although it has a number of issues:
1. Changes in temp or zone on/off have terrible lag from a few seconds to never actually happening.
2. Disconnects often and takes quite some time to reconnect. Sometimes needs to be closed and reopened to connect.
3. ESP mode can not be enabled from the app. The button is there although it does not work. I saw some posts promising this years ago although still nothing.
4. UI is horrible and outdated, its functional though.
This app is abandoned. Actron says its proud to be Aussie although true Ausies don’t bait and switch their customers!

App stopped working a year ago and never been able to get it going again. Came across the guides during clean out today and decided to give it another go. Fail. ActronConnect Wifi just shows no internet connection and nothing reconfigures on the app. Same story as always. It did work ok from installation until recently. Appears developers haven’t kept up with IOS.
