Desperately needs an update
The app is outdated and in need of a major overhaul. You cannot turn on the ESP function from the app. The timer doesn’t sync with the existing timer already running on the wall unit. You would think with all the money Actron Air has made with the recent property development and the enormous additional cost they charge to including this Actron Connect feature that they would reinvest it into providing a quality product.

Waste of money
App looks outdated with absolutely horrendous functionality. It needs a severe UI overhaul and is/has been left behind by other WIFI controllers and manufactures very swiftly. Actron if you want to continue to offer this for $500+ you better quickly enhance the experience, both functionally and visually urgently, the app looks like it was designed and development by a child. If you are contemplating this or Actron as a whole, do your research before spending thousands. 5 updates in 6 years, pathetic effort at keeping up with your competition.
Update: instead of updating their current apps and infrastructure they release ‘Series 2’ and a new app ‘Neo’ and forget to improve what they currently have. Complete waste of money! Update your current issues or make new technology compatible with all your systems.

No zones.
So here it is 13 days after we had this installed and now have NBN connected. What a difference decent internet makes. I tried the app and it immediately synced seamlessly as well as identifying that we have 4 zones. I’ve activated it while away from the house and I’m pleased to report that it works just fine. From what I can share it is clear that the key to the app is good internet signal. So now following on from my earlier review I am formally eating humble pie and am officially very impressed.

Very basic functionality
Like others have said the app is quite basic in its functionality. It does allow you to turn the unit on/off and change temp though. Initial setup up was painful and required calls to the support line. The app occasionally doesn’t sync and reverts to previous settings. Scheduling would be great as would the ability to see the current house temp without having to turn the aircon on.

Mobile app built by air con guys who just don’t get it.
Pretty poor quality. Actron have made their systems highly proprietary in nature so you completely rely on actron. For instance you cannot replace the actron controller with a nest or ecobee because of the propriety nature and closed systems they’ve deliberately built to lock you in. That would be reasonable enough if they then built decent apps but they haven’t. This app is rubbish and actron have done zero to enable integration into smart devices. If you’ve not bought your aircon system yet go for a different brand if you want it to be part of a smart house.

Works once setup property - one year experience
Generally, find the app to be very convenient when it works 90% of the time. Our experience over the years that we’ve been using Actron Connect has been positive. The setup was a bit fiddly , and a few times we had to change the channel on the router due to interference with other devices, but once it was all set up it works well. We've used it when returning home on a hot day to find the house nice and cool

Wish I had read before purchasing - it does not work
I cannot seem to get it to connect , what appeared ok on the screen with all the colours etc , does not translate to the actual system. The ActronConnect wifi thing you are supposed to do keeps saying no internet connection. No matter what I do does not work. I am really annoyed that it just does not work no matter what we do ... major angry face . I would really need to fix a no star

Never works consistently
And for the last 3 months won’t connect at all even after resetting.
Before it would drop out and I’d link it back to our network. We have extenders throughout the house - but because I see the said available it seems to always forget to connect and I have to go through that process again and again. Now it’s just not even working or available.

Unreliable app with limited functionality
Numerous times a week the app won’t sync properly with the unit, changes made like changing the temp or turning on a zone get reverted moments later.
Even when the app is working you can only turn a zone on or off with the app. You cannot set the zones temp. You can only set the main house temp.
Considering the price of the unit that allows the app to work we were really disappointed with the quality of the app itself.

Latest update is Broken
All functionality is broken on latest update. 3 different phones. All have lost the ability to control the unit.
It says it communicates and attempts commands but does not actually get to the unit it seems. It eventually realises the command didn’t go through and reverts to blank screen.
As of right now, my wall unit is on and no matter how many times I force close and restart app, it think the wall unit is off.
