  • Slow to show transactions

When travelling, you need to see quickly what has or hasnt been charged-due to language issues. It takes 24-36 for the dashboard to update while my friend using WISE gets instant info. I used OS in 2013 but it has deteriorated. Support told me to ring NZ, at full cost international costs to me to resolve a payment issue. Again, WISE allows you to report thru the App and resolved quickly. Support ignored me after first question. Beyond disappointed and 110euro down cos of them.

  • Clunky

I find the app often freezes, is slow and clunky to respond. The general idea is great, just the execution isn’t as smooth as you would hope. I’ve had several occasions I was locked out of access for days making it unusable. Its great when it works.
  • Easy slick

Saves money by enabling cash withdrawals without paying an advance fee, but one problem is it takes two or more full days from bank transfer to the money in your account
  • Minor frustrations

When I log onto the app from my phone and then log out once I have completed my task quite often the next time I come to use the app it has a forgotten password message on the log on page so I have to turn my phone off and back on to clear it to be able to get the apps log on password page to open
  • Convenient

Had this for a few years now and find the app and the whole process easy and convenient, can’t think of any real downside
  • Reasonable App But Some Issues

Once I can login to this app it seems to work ok. The issue is logging in. Plus the conversion rates compared to say those offered by a Wise card are poor.
  • Storing money

I haven’t used the onesmart card for a few years so was pleasantly surprised that I still could access everything and there was still currency sitting there!
The App has been spruced up too and very easy to use.
  • Great Way Store Currency

Love getting the current exchange rates & being able to upload multiple currencies.

I enjoy being able yo pay some of my monthly bills by the app so I gain air points (NZDis 1 point per $200 spent) without the need of a credit card. Just if you’re doing this there is a service fee charged.

Haven’t used it overseas yet but will be paying accommodation for OZ in a couple of weeks so it will be good to pay in OZ money & not worry about exchange rates on a credit card bill.

  • Login problems

Overall the app works well other than an inability to login. Often the only option available is ‘forgot password’
I discovered that I could get round this by powering down my phone and restarting, but this is a time-consuming nuisance.
No problems with login using Safari on iPad rather than the app on my phone, but this is not always convenient

  • Improving

Used for a few years now

The Good is the app’s functionality has improved, spend reporting and independent email notifications are good.

Less good. Conversion margins can be high. Only major currencies available, for example no Swiss Francs. I was locked out of the card when trying to pay for hire car overseas with the whole global call centre unlock process. The rationale for the lock out was ‘unusual spend’ so in summary good system but not reliable as your only travel solution and needed the Visa as a back up.
