Can’t export collection using (basic) account

Barcode scanning is efficient but cannot export collection. All references in Help online reference to instructions from Settings and a YouTube video that appears to have higher privileges, even though export is not listed as a Pro Feature.

Great but wish I could have pictures

It is SUPER fast with bar code scanning which I appreciate. Simple, straight forward. But i ended up going with another app because I didn’t have to pay to see the book covers. Sounds dumb but that was very important to me and I unfortunately didn’t want to have to pay to do that.

New user loving Libib

After doing a fair amount of research, I downloaded Libib and am just getting going capturing my library. I have about 3,000 books so it will take a while, but the app is excellent thus far. I upgraded to pro almost immediately as I have a number of older books which require manual entry, but even that is easier than I thought.

It is important to think about collection names and use of groups, tags, etc. to design an approach that will succeed for whatever your sorting, searching, exporting needs are, etc.

Also, I have had a few questions and the support team replied right away. I hope Libib keeps adding features and functionality. Love it!

New obsession!!

I LOVE this app! 🥳

I was kicking around buying one of those barcode scanners to help organize my personal library and was googling what to do with the actual info after scanning when I randomly found this website in my search. Not only does it have a scanner built in (saving me from buying one), but it has amazing settings to help me organize all my books!

Not every book came through (mostly the special editions I own) so I had to input some by hand, but I didn’t mind. They make it super easy! And once I had every book scanned in, I just spent some time on the app organizing them all while I watched TV. I’m so excited to have a little library system now for all my books. Thank you!

Simple to use and what I was looking for

I wanted a way to easily track the books I’ve read and the books I want to read and the books I own and haven’t read - this app does all of that. I appreciate that there are different layers of organization available but that it’s also easy to set it up as a simple list. Sometimes the UI is a little clunky, but not enough to make it a problem to use. I love that I can scan a barcode, and I also love that if I’m entering a book manually I don’t need to add any information except what I have. Keeping multiple lists and the ability to move a title from one list to another is great. I like that ranking and reviewing is not a built in aspect but there is room for descriptions if I wanted to keep notes for myself. I’m glad there’s not a “social” aspect to it and don’t want there to be one, but exporting lists or easily copying an items info to share via text would be a nice feature.

More Like 4.5 Honestly

A simple meal well made, just a few things I wish were different:
• Groups nested under collections: I have several collections like my American Girl books and Star Wars books that I have groups underneath. I wish there was a way to set it so that the groups came up first, which I could then open to show the books in each.
• Custom list order: I have some other series-that-aren’t-really-series that are in collections that I have shelved together but in an idiosyncratic order rather than alphabetically. I wish I could order the list display to reflect the way I have them on the shelf for consistency’s sake.
• Cover Image in List: I know this is an option on the pro plan but it’d sure be nice on the free version, especially because I have multiple editions of some books and it’s easier to scroll the list rather than open each individual book to see the cover.

LACKING A COUPLE OF FEATURES

It would be good to be Able to Share.

And Thumbnails of the Books would be Awesome.

If it had these Features I would use a lot.

Manga Collection Tracking Made Easy

I have over 1000 volumes and it’s honestly so easy to track everything with Libib. I scan the barcodes before I put them on the shelves and as far as tracking what I have, I’m pretty much done. I will say using the app to scan stuff in and then using the web version to enter whatever data it is you want on the item is the optimal way to use Libib in my experience. App work well enough if I’m at the store/on the go and I don’t remember which volumes I do or don’t have, makes it easy to double check before I accidentally buy a duplicate.

I love the way it displays covers on the web and my only minor gripe with the app would be to add a similar layout as a display option in app as well, but for me, it’s really not an issue considering I just use the app on the go or to scan new items in. The company cares too, I even remember when they changed the site a while ago, it changed the default title length when viewing your library, I couldn’t find an option to change it, I emailed them asking them to maybe consider an option to display titles how they did before the site update and within a day they responded and had changed. I was floored. Love the product and service they provide on the whole, been using it for years now and would never use anything else.

enough for small studio

don't have many books. Although most Japanese books require editing, the app interface is simple to use.

Great app with a lot of potential to grow

I downloaded the app earlier this week. Both my husband and I began scanning our books to enter our libraries and the in app scanner makes it super easy. I wish there were a few more ways to sort-by group or release date. Or the ability to sort by author and release date! It would also be nice to display the cover art while scrolling through a library. Having to select an item to see its cover hides so much great art!
Also, I can see the potential for this app to grow, even if a premium version with a price is needed to make it happen. It could be used this to track my Pop Vinyl collection or any other type of collectable.
I am not sure if vinyl records scan under music but my husband will give it a try. Also-comics, graphic novels, manga etc. We will continue to use and learn but great app out the gate. I hope it grows with time and allows more cataloging in the future!
