Monitor good app horrible

It is so unbelievably frustrating to me that I love this monitor, I use it for all three of my kids, but the app has progressively gotten worse and worse. I have contacted iBaby about this several times and have gotten very little help on their end saying that my phone was the issue. I have been using iBaby for 3 years and honestly the first year was great, no problems. Which is why I bought the second monitor for my next baby. We began to run into issues with the sound function turning off in the middle of the night but ended up finding a work around by leaving the app open on our phones. By this point we find out we are having another baby and don’t want to have to buy an entirely new set of monitors and my MIL buys a third monitor for us to use. Now my app crashes within a minute of being open. I can’t use it except for white noise on and off and to check on the baby. My phone is up to date on its IOS and I always do my app updates but this issue will not cease. It makes the monitor almost completely useless. In my opinion buy a different monitor or get a Wyze camera and buy a sound machine. It’ll save you so much headache.

Time stamp has been removed

The time stamp has been removed when viewing alert captures. The date is available but no time from videos taken throughout the night

Still works!

I bought their M6T about 8 years ago. Both the camera and the app still work today. I’m impressed.

An absolute battery killer

It always has been a battery killer. Since the first time I installed this app when my son was born. He is 5 now and a lot has changed since then but the one thing that never fails is you forget to kill the app and it races to drain your battery.

Good app, drains battery

This app is really useful and I would rate it 5 stars except for the fact that if you don’t force close the app when you’re done, it drains your battery in the background. This has been an issue for years through multiple app versions and on multiple devices. I can understand if you leave the audio on in the background, but even when you don’t, and you just check a camera and then navigate to another app it runs in the background and kills the battery. It’s really a major issue because by the end of the day I’m almost at 0% and I barely even used my phone during the day. It’s consistently at the top of my list of apps under battery and always more than 50% of usage in the last 24 hours. Please release an update that stops this behavior and I will amend this review to 5 stars

Discontinues hardware with little notice

Earlier this week I received an email that my two iBaby monitors are too old and will no longer be supported. Now they’re for the bin without software to view them on. Do not buy iBaby, you’ll regret it.
Apart from that I’ve loved these and I’m just a jaded lover of the brand. Though my kids are older, I still used my monitors as security devices to check in on the house and temperature when not at home. Well, I can’t now, but I did.

App shuts off

Happened twice where app will shut off in middle of the night so have woken to my baby screaming down the hall (for who knows how long??). So disappointing, will be looking for another option asap

Can’t connect with new update or use my phone data to connect when I’m on the go

With the new update I cannot connect my phone to my camera with the Wi-Fi or with my data. It was working before with the old update. I need my phone and camera to work using data because I use the camera to watch my daughter when I’m at work and I’m not understanding why it is not working when I’m not at home when It use to work when I go out of town when my phone is on as long as the camera is connected to Wi-Fi, it should work but it’s not working at all making me upset I feel like I wasted my money on the camera when that’s the feature I really needed

Updated app

This app used to be amazing what happened, constant connection issues, please reverse what you've done this is awful. I used to brag to friends at how great our baby monitors were and make fun of their stand alone units

Absolutely useless now

We’ve had our iBabyCare camera and this app for 4 years. It used to be an excellent monitor. For the last two years it has had very intermittent connectivity, and we thought maybe it was our internet (even though our internet has been fine for everything else, including streaming services, etc.). Now, for the last year, the monitor has been nearly useless. We get a black screen constantly in the night, or an “unable to connect” message. A few nights ago when I was in my son’s room in the middle of the night, I noticed the light on the camera kept changing from green (which means it’s on and connected) to red over and over again…about at the same rate that we get the black screen on the monitor app. That was my answer. It’s not our internet connection. It’s the camera. The camera no longer stays connected to the internet. Whatever firmware update they released last year obviously screwed with the connectivity of the camera, so it’s absolutely useless. DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR IF YOU HAVE A SMALL BABY. They could be crying, or heck, even choking to death in the night and you would have no idea because your camera will constantly lose connection. We will be throwing this one out and buying a different brand.
