  • Unreliable

We got this monitor from my mother-in-law as a gift and we were so happy cause our baby had been in the NICU for breathing issues and this claimed to monitor breathing. Since getting it, we first had issues with it staying in place. We used the sticky wall mount and it just fell over and over again. We had to jerryrig it to get it to stay. Next, it is constantly sending alerts for her breathing and when I go check, she is completely fine. On average, I’m getting 20-25 alerts a night for it. If I were to go check every time, I’d get even less sleep than I already do. If it isn’t sending alerts, it’s freezing and not monitoring her. I originally loved that it kept playing the sound in the background while I was doing other things on my phone, but it cuts out after 10 minutes and is basically useless. Overall, the idea is great but the execution was botched.

  • Great camera!

The camera image quality is great in light & dark. Only couple complaints I have are similar to others… the app has quirks… it randomly will freeze (normally can close and the open and it fixes it) sometimes it won’t connect to the app which is really annoying but I can normally plug and unplug the camera and it fixes it.
One suggestion I would like to make to developers is, the sound is also not great, if you could add like a sound bar… sometimes when I’m watching the feed.. but the baby is farther from the camera (camera is on his cradle, but sometimes he’s napping in my bed) the sound doesn’t pick up as well.. but if there was some kind of visual for the sound I could see it’s picking up noise even when I can’t hear it as well.

  • Do not buy this camera - nothing but problems

Have had this camera for some time now and every time the power goes out you have to reconnect the camera and it is never easy - have to contact the help centre every time and every time it has take days & weeks to fix, leaving me without a camera every time. DO NOT buy this camera.
  • TERRIBLE APP

My 2.5 month old was crying for 15 minutes because this app froze and closed out on its own. It has closed out way too many times to count, where suddenly I don’t hear anything at all ONLY if I am paying very close attention. Sometimes I can’t hear that the sound on my phone has shut off if it isn’t completely silent in the room I’m in. So not okay. I was so upset walking in to my infant besides himself in panic because I didn’t hear him crying. The entire point of a monitor is so that you have peace of mind leaving your children so that you can hear them and see them to know if something is wrong. I’m throwing this monitor away and buying something else. Don’t waste your money. This product/app causes more stress than peace.

  • Good App, possible improvement?

We have 2 iBaby cameras and love how easy it is to switch between cameras or use split screen. I love the variety of sound options but wish the volume bar was easier to adjust. I find it’s really hard to move it with it being so close to the bottom of the screen. Maybe a different location or being able to use the volume buttons on the side of the phone would work better? It’s minor but something I use all the time and it’s a constant struggle. Would love a fix in an update, no other concerns, love the app!

  • Excited then letdown.

I loved the idea of this baby monitor. And when it works - it works well. The issue is the app crashes when it’s left open for longer periods. I work from home and watch my 7 month old baby when she naps as well as when she goes down for the night. I find myself not trusting the alerts to be accurate because the app crashes when it’s open for long periods (and even sometimes when it’s not) so I tend to want to keep the app open but then can’t. Seems like this is a very common issue that the company should do something about…

  • Update crashes phone

Review update: since the update a month ago, this app still periodically freezes my phone; last time I couldn’t even reset my phone. This makes the app and their product useless to me until it is fixed. PLEASE FIX THIS!

I’ve been using iBabyCare products for 3 years and have a camera in both children’s rooms. I use them for the absolute basic needs (hearing and seeing my kids) but with the most recent update, the app freezes and then my phone goes dim and won’t respond; it basically freezes my whole phone and I have to shut the phone down. Please fix.

  • Use to be good

Was working fine for a year up until latest update. Now the app constantly crashes and closes making the camera useless. Replacing with a different camera because of this issue.
  • Poor Support

This monitor could be great , but lacks support. Monitor and app worked as advertised, but after updates the sound alert does not work and we cannot control the volume of the white noise /music from the monitor. I’ve sent emails to ibaby but get what appears to be an automated reply to the most asked questions, but they do answer the problems we have.
Also don’t get the M7 with star light. When you turn it on the camera rotates so you can no longer see if your baby is asleep. IMO a useless function.

  • app crashing

After updating the app it will crash when I leave the video screen on which means during the night I can no longer hear if my baby is crying because the audio feed turns off after the app crashes. Please fix with a new update. Thanks.
