So easy to use and lightweight but lots of features

I managed to take a video edit it and post to Facebook while flying in a helicopter all in the space of 5 minutes before landing.

Don’t Like the Updates

Vivavideo is very advanced and has been updated a lot. However, the app used to be a media in which you had an account and videos were able to be uploaded into a post and others could see them and you could see other people’s posts. After having the app for a long time in middle and high school and not having enough storage on my phone, I had to delete it. When I went to download it again and start fresh with a new account I lost access to all the videos on here because the app got updated to only an edit app without the ability to post. Now posts are unable to be made and seen and old videos cannot be accessed. People who did not have videos saved to their gallery are unable to recover them ever again. This was very disappointing, as I worked very hard on these in middle and high school. I was unable to save them to my gallery due to storage usage. I’ve looked up ways to find them and have had no luck. I understand that things need to be backed up but things happen and sometimes storage space needs to be cleaned by deleting in gallery if people don’t have money for a better phone and with how advanced this app is, it should still have the ability to make posts and give people access to old creations that took a lot of effort to make. It also used to be free and now it makes you do a free trial to eventually pay for the special effects.

If you uninstall the app, the project video will be lost and cannot be restored. We will thoroughly review your suggestions to optimize and upgrade our product, so stay tuned for new updates!

Not as good as it used to be

A few years ago, I would’ve given this 5 stars. But recently things have gotten more pay-to-use for anything. I understand that companies need to make money, but what I don’t understand is why they are now restricting utilities that were previously made free with the membership that I had before.

Years ago, viva video had a VIP membership plan which was a one-time payment for life, and I currently use that plan, and it was going smoothly until a year ago. I noticed more and more things that were accessible began to be restricted towards another VIP membership plan. And now more recently, more and more features are being restricted. While I use to have a good range of effects, text, and transitions, the best thing I currently have out of my membership, is a water-mark free video.

To summarize, more and more features are becoming pay-to-use, and while I think it’s a phenomenal editing software, without the membership, you’re better off editing elsewhere

If you're unable to access your VIP benefits, log in with the Apple ID used for purchase, then open VivaVideo, go to Settings > Restore Purchase to regain access. For further assistance, contact us via the app's settings.

VivaVideo is amazing!

If you’re into video editing, you need VivaVideo. This app makes it so easy to trim/merge clips, add voice-overs, and even create stunning slideshows. My TikTok game has never been stronger! 💪

Customer service absent

I renewed this app in February this year, it suddenly stopped working. I have contacted customer service but all they do is send me a generic email back with no real help rather than checking at their end. I have uninstalled several times to no avail. Very unimpressed!

We're sorry you didn't have a good experience! Please first log in to the Apple ID you used to purchase VIVAVIDEO VIP, then open VIVAVIDEO APP>Settings>Restore Purchase. If it is not resolved, you can find the customer service portal in your phone settings to contact us.

Wall and portrait painting?

I also have the pro version which is no longer available, so I already know how MUCH better the themes used to be.
You should always be improving the app not downgrading it.

What an idiotic response! You are not improving my editing experience if the template I want to use is no longer available. Why would I even subscribe, if you randomly remove the options I wanted to use in the first place? I already contacted you people,I sent screenshots, you cut and pasted a generic response —— What happened to these themes? Contacting customer service is useless they cut and paste from a set of key word responses without actually reading/solving the problem

App doesn’t work as promised

I purchased this app for almost $50 well it downs work. I can only use the few music I downloaded in the past, there is tons that I cannot download, either there is a flaw in the app or the developer isn’t updating it. It’s pure garbage and I’m super disappointed with their service. I have requested a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. I’m beyond frustrated and I feel ripped off by the developers.

I’m back to write a review, so bear with me as I try to explain. The app works well now. I think the developers must have done some updates. There are two issues I have now: 1) some of my videos get zoomed out, I guess what I mean is that they do not show in full screen, there is a wide black line on each side of the videos, like when you play a very old movie or sitcome in a new TV and it shows those black lines on each side, it’s really quite annoying when combined with other videos that don’t show the lines. I’m wondering if this has anything to do with taking the video in portrait and/or landscape mode but I wish there was an option to get rid of those black lines.
2) There is a good variety of music, although most of it is not good and they don’t add new music.
Anyway, the number 1 issues is a bud deal for me and what bothers me the most, I wish they could fix it. I’m looking into a second option app that I hope works better so my video editing looks more profesional.

If you want to crop the video display size, you can click Clip in the function bar below after importing the video, click Edit, and then click Crop to change the size. You can also click edit and then click the fill button to fill the entire video screen with the video.
