Best way to discover Cornwall on foot
I have lived in Cornwall for 25 years & own many walk books, but this app is simply the best.
Before purchasing you can see a brief description of each walk, the distance, steepness grade, recommended footwear, plus helpful information on stiles, roads etc you’re likely to encounter en route.
Once downloaded, you own that walk for life & receive any updates for free ( e.g. Changes in rights of way).
The app works using GPS so once you've given it permission then you don’t need a signal & at each junction/ stile etc you get the next set of directions. It also warns you if you stray off route ( usually as a result of not reading the directions properly or taking a detour to check something of interest out!) This is helpful if you walk alone & maybe don’t have the best of map reading skills!
I’ve done more than 20 now & have explored many new areas as a consequence.
I would highly recommend this app, & think the walks are excellent value for money, as as well as directions you also get interesting information about where you’re walking & what things of interest you might see along the way 🙂Show lessoctotulip

I love to walk my dogs and I love exploring new routes.
But ... I’m not great at reading a map and I really hate getting lost! This app is perfect for me. Simply buy and download a walk (you can chose a walk by lots of different criteria so we always look for walks over 3 miles, that are circular, dog friendly and have a pub!) and follow the directions. It really is that simple.
There is loads of information about each walk including maps, local history, how suitable for dogs the walk is etc so you can easily find a route that suits your particular requirements - the routes are even graded, be mindful, if the classification says it’s strenuous ... then it’s strenuous!
They are simply brilliant and I can’t wait to be able to get out and explore more guided by this fab app.Show lessDawnspit

I found this while on holiday in Cornwall, and did the most brilliant walk (Carn Galver). So many details help with the walk. I can’t wait to go back to Cornwall and use it again.hthrfaye

Fantastic App!
I used this app on my recent solo trip to Cornwall. As I was undertaking walks on my own, I was a bit nervous about getting lost, but the instructions on here were absolutely spot on - and 100 % worth the small fee per walk, I felt so safe!
It was so useful that every time I needed to turn off, or head in a certain direction, I’d get a little buzz notification on my phone that were incredibly perfectly timed - there were so many little paths I would have definitely missed had I just been following printed instructions!! On the one occasion I managed to veer off the wrong way, I got a little buzz to say so, so I didn’t go off track for more than a minute - again had I been following printed instructions who knows how long I would have been walking the wrong way!! I would say that if you’re walking in Cornwall you’d be absolutely mad not to use this app!Show lesssooz26shebu
Pay for maps of walks?
This stuff is free from the municipality, I mistakenly assumed this was produced to promote tourism, but it's made to line someones wallet. Also has a 2010 iOS feel.TylerC101
Brilliant - highly recommended
I’m useless at following maps for walks, and usually end up with wimping our part way through the walk for fear of getting lost - this app has totally changed my walks! Great choice, super clear instructions and we totally know what to expect it terms of dog friendly/ terrain etc.

Excellent walks and Local Information
We have used the app a few times now. It helps you get out and about by giving you trued and tested walks. They have thought about proper detail to make sure you are following the route and even tells you exactly where you you start and finish.
The gps system is precise and takes you to each waymark. If you do wander off the route the app will quickly alert you and you can check your position versus the route on the map. While on route the app is giving you information on the nature, geography, history etc of where you are which helps the walk go much easier.
So with this app you can get out into the countryside to interesting places and not get lost.Show lesssssPaulsss

I am new to Cornwall and needed an app to aid me around the Cornish countryside..
I downloaded a few walks and started with a 4.82 mile walk. The app gives you messages as and when a new waywalk is reached which is very helpful. There’s also a map so you don’t stray from the route, if you do the app prompts you to say that you are.
I did contact those that manage the app and John was incredibly helpful (thank you John), even after my experience with a herd of cows.. which wasn’t pleasant.
Although I have only been on one walk I would definitely recommend the app to those who want to explore the Cornish countryside on foot.Show lessFuschia1234
