For the most part, a decent reader that I am now enjoying. Some of the words get mispronounced, but that is ok. I use it to read me stories I find online while I am on long drives. It would get five stars if it would it did a couple of other things. When I post a url using the uparrow icon in Safari (incognito), it usually posts the article twice. If I post a few in a row before opening the app, the postings are not in order. I wish I could rearrange the order so they auto read until all the postings are read. I’m also finding that it will sometimes stall while reading as it tries to download something every 15 seconds or so. Im guessing that means it won’t read anything while on an airplane (I’ll have to test that sometime).Show lessSD_Gringo

Hello, a recent wave of updates has been released to address some of your issues. I can also confirm that Speaky works completely offline. Speech is now split into segments so there is a small loading delay happening when switching to the next one. Thank you for your feedback!Excellent App
I purchased this app to read printed text when I’m busy or if I’m driving. I am so glad I did because it does exactly what it is designed to do, now when I am driving or on the train, I can now easily listen to the printed text. I can honestly give it 5 starsD'anton

This app cut down the time I need to read important articles
I’ve been using this app for years to grab articles from the web and then listen to them in the car on the way to and from work. It is in increase ability. I have to read articles that are important to keeping up with everything that’s going on in the world.daveinnashville

It’s one of my favorite pieces of software to use. simple but efficient options with voices is incredibly well done. Being able to change the speed is a very nice touch. Have recommended it to at least 10 people and will continue to do so it’s a great piece of software.Milkman 77
Still Great - but a little problem persists
After all these years while other similar apps have come and gone, this one is still arguably the simplest and most useful TTS apps out there.
There is a new problem that began after a recent OS update. When you tap Preferred Voice Settings, the whole app crashes. This is not a deal breaker, bur it’s just annoying…Show lessKokohtfhrfjtcbdsvkjbgdxy

I noticed this issue after upgrading to iOS 17. This bug was introduced first in 17.0 and happens when there are other audio sources still active in the background. The temporary fix is to make sure all other audio apps are closed before starting Speaky. Hopefully a fix will be available in future iOS updates.Brilliant Speaky for revision

Any time I've had an issue, opening a ticket with the creator has resulted in a bug being fixed quickly iv had this app for about 5yrs now and absolutely love using it still to read articles, posts, stories, and more for m. I love there is a estimated timer for reading, app has customizable folders and labeling available. You get a lot of options and use for this being completely free app. I love the ability to save stuff offline.
I have offloaded the app on iphone over the years and uploaded again to find settings and saved content still intact. Its very easy to use and pretty dependable. I appreciate the creator of this app always doing the best they can to solve any problems so long as you open a ticket where asked to within the app or via email.

Love it. Needs iOS 17 update
Great program… simple and very functional. I’ve used it for several years. But now, with iOS 17, it has stopped working. It hangs in a loop, even after I turn off every other app on my phone to ensure that there is no conflict. Looking forward to an update. Love the app.Neutral Gear
