Still Great - but a little problem persists
After all these years while other similar apps have come and gone, this one is still arguably the simplest and most useful TTS apps out there.

I noticed this issue after upgrading to iOS 17. This bug was introduced first in 17.0 and happens when there are other audio sources still active in the background. The temporary fix is to make sure all other audio apps are closed before starting Speaky. Hopefully a fix will be available in future iOS updates.Still GOOD
This is still one of the best and simplest and most useful TTS apps.
Probably due to the new iOS update, what happens now is sometimes the playback gets stuck in the middle of an article, and if you select another voice, it resumes playback, but it gets stuck again after a while. I've had this app for some time now, and since I enjoy it so much, I'll write a review. Speaky does exactly what it says it will. I continue to be amazed at how it extracts articles from a URL. Works well with decent voices for free
It generally works well with a few annoying exceptions. Pasting text to read takes many actions to acknowledge permissions each time, create the item, name it, paste, then speak it. Text highlighting synchronization is slower than the reading speed.CCO16

Better than natural read
I’m amazed at how much better this app is than natural reader which I thought was the best. The extraction alone is much better leaving out all the garbage and leaving just the article.picked an apple
Great software for reading to you
I use it for everything I need to read. With modern OCR I scan the documents and listen to them while I work on the yard or in the shop. Or I just let it read the urls. It’s fantastic.Jose ACA
